Reason To Take Vaccine

One reason to take the jab is to gain some freedom and get a Covid pass from the good old NHS.

My Spanish D-I-L is booked to go to Spain later this month and she has had both vaccinations. She would use her vaccination status to be able to travel without taking tests, except that she has discovered one of her jabs was from the Indian manufactured batches which the EMA had not authorised. She was in a bit of a spin this morning, and despite reassurances, it is still unclear what hoops she will have to jump through.

It's not even a holiday, her father is sick and she wants to see him.

She may have to book a PCR test before she goes, which she would have to pay for.
I don't know why travellers have to pay for tests, whereas anyone else can book one for free.

But which came first, the crowdfunding or the Oxford research?  This doctor has been suggesting it for 7 months:

One of the leaders of Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) is Paul Marik, MD, chief of pulmonary and critical care medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, who co-authored the review and meta-analysis based mainly on studies from outside the US.
Marik says he's frustrated that their work is now being championed by the political right, and that it's become politicized at all. The group has had to distinguish itself from America's Frontline Doctors, which gained notoriety for its pro-hydroxychloroquine, anti-lockdown rhetoric last summer.
"This is not a political issue and it should never be," Marik said. "We are driven by the science and the data, not by politics or anything else.
"It angers me, when I hear that it's a conspiracy, that this virus doesn't exist, that there aren't that many deaths," he added. "You have to come to the ICU and see that people are dying to realize this is no hoax, this is real."
Marik finds it particularly disappointing that his work has been misinterpreted as potentially undermining vaccination.

"That's complete nonsense," he said. "I was vaccinated yesterday and I believe this is a bridge to vaccination," noting that slow vaccine roll-outs, vaccine hesitancy, and vaccine quality will likely mean the world will be dealing with COVID-19 for a long time to come.
"We need to do something in the meantime," he said.

So why is Dr Lawrie crowd funding... ?

Health Secretary Matt Hancock was rendered speechless at Professor Neil Ferguson's breaking of UK lockdown rules.
Is that the same as saying he is just keeping his mouth shut.

So herd immunity is the way to go, after most have been infected. This might help without killing many more people.
Well like you say, keep following the money.

Well, it doesn't work that well anyway.

Dr Tess Lawrie submitted her opinion on the dramatic effect of Ivermectin on 4th January to Matt Wancock, surprise surprise got no feedback, so good on her for crowdfunding for treatment.

Is this a report by the same Tess Laurie who's crowdfunding research into ivermectin for treating Covid despite this use of the drug already being researched by Oxford and the medication readily purchased over the counter at your local pharmacy...?

The same who recommended Ivermectin, coincidentally the BBC today report the NHS are now using it in trials on positive cases of older people to see if it cuts down hospital admissions.

If this report is correct, expect the vaccines to be withdrawn any minute.

I highly doubt that they have said vaccines are a success and are rolling them out on the next generation. So, if a number of people die or end up with long term symptoms, they can say it was a success as the amount of people saved outweighs those with problems or even deaths. Or in other words not much of a chance of stopping them pumping you full of whatever they feel like doing.

On average every minute of the day, more than 400 people in the UK are receiving vaccinations.
That's pretty impressive, whether you agree with the vaccine or not.

Quote from: patman post on May 04, 2021, 05:03:22 PMHand washing, mask wearing, social distancing brought in to curb Covid have also curbed flu.

Unfortunately opening up the country to allow 60,000 people to attend a cricket match isn't the smartest thing to do. The level of CV-19 in India now could very well have been a direct result of their own stupid actions.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Why would you have more confidence in people who make lots of money from the sale of vaccines?  Have you never heard of 'conflict of interest'?  Do you have confidence in big pharma?  Would they tell you if you don't really need a vaccine?

Because the Black Community are said to be less then convinced by the Vaccine, so they are rolling out those who see themselves as leaders of the Black Community to convince everyone it is all good for them. Because that is what it is all about, convincing you it is good for you. Or you won't be saved like the pink folk.
