LBC ?
The only time I've found it entertaining or informative is Steve Allen (a schoolgirl's impression of an equally spiteful Piers Morgan) when early in the morning driving North to a meeting...

This is the key to it.
Mogg's a toff and so whatever he says or does for some he will always be despised. He's coming form the wrong place.

O Brien is very weak at his subject matter but great at condescension.
Making him entertaining.
And if he is coming from the right place, no one much cares if he wrong.

Prejudice is strong.

O'Brian's ability with subject matter can be highly variable. Sometimes he is good, other times less so. He is great at condescension which can be entertaining when you agree with him but anger inducing, making you think "what an arrogant knob" when you don't. He resorts to open condescension and mockery when the person he disagrees with knows his stuff. He does it to Corbyn supporters and socialists as readily as he does it to right wing populists and Brexiteers. He has nothing but disdain for anyone who disagrees with him and is puffed up by his own sense of superiority. He is right and anyone who disagrees with him should be treated like an idiot is his default assumption. When he is agreeing with you this can be entertaining though not particularly informative. The rest of the time he just looks like an arrogant and condescending twit.

Despise is the word - I despise Jacob-Rees Mogg. If you tried to make up a more arrogant, condescending and snobbish character for a satirical spoof, you couldn't do it. Granted, the interviewer is a bit of an oaf, but at least he's coming from the right place.

Regardless of whether you like the delivery style of either person, the claims made by JRM will be able to be tested soon enough.

For example, he claims that food prices will go down after Brexit - this can be easily checked now and into the next few years.

Most people in the food business appear to say that food prices will go up because of Brexit, because there are a bunch of complexities that mean that the benefits quoted by JRM are more than cancelled out by other losses due to Brexit.

This has always been the issue with Brexit enthusiasts - they only want to consider the advantages and ignore all the costs of what they are proposing.

Food prices are down from this time last year.

However I could spin this same statistic another way.
Food prices are up since December.

The arguments will continue.

I'm afraid despise very much is the word when it comes to Rees Mogg who reeks of arrogance and entitlement and always reminds me of Lord Snooty.

He doesn't come across as someone who can wipe the floor with anyone. He has servants for things like that.

O'Brian is himself an arrogant tit of course, but is often pretty good at skewering right wing prats with their half baked idiocies and bigotries. But when he himself is confronted by someone he can't bully whose stance he doesn't like the sound of but who can effectively make their point, he can morph into a real oaf who talks over people with his own snide put downs.

Well, I do know one thing, If Borise doesn't get his finger out and stop his showboating, he will need a taxi and a removal van faster than you can say the price of eggs.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

Not sure why someone is deemed to arrogant and condescending just because they are educated, well spoken and actually know their stuff.
O'Cock acts like a spoilt brat and can't handle the fact JRM is wiping the floor with him.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I was just listening to Labour telling us how they need to set out a vision for society, erm didn't any of the last ones work then? On Nicks interview, even if you don't like Rees Mogg and after Labour loving the chaos, this was part of the original agreement put forward by Theresa May and the EU. But it couldn't possibly be any fault with the EU. Next thing we know they will wonder why Sir Starmer has lost his initial popularity and couldn't win an election in the next 50 years.

As a rule I 100% refuse to listen to a single word James O'C@ck has to say on LBC. His contempt for anyone and supercilious attitude that what ever he is saying is the be all and end all is infuriating on the radio. I just happened upon this clip of an interview with JRM on LBC and the camera confirms what I have long thought to be correct. O'C@ck is a complete buffoon... but has a quick brain and can tie callers in knots with questions about what they have just said. Bring on JRM !!!

Thank you Jacob, this idiot will hopefully watch the interview back and see his little head sticking out of your pocket.

BTW, did I mention that O'C@ck is a 🐓.
