Brother in law was saying there is certainly rising anti eu sentiment in france , dont know about the others. As i said way back , people like gerry and his eu masters need brexit and the uk to fail and fail badly , because the opposite doesnt bare contemplating for him.

Vaccine success in the uk has been a severe blow to eu prestige  , and has a lot of eu nations especially the bigger ones looking on and thinking about the dead weights they are carrying in terms of brussels beurocrats and smaller countires.

Interesting times ahead mate.

Anti Brussels feeling is definitely growing Thomas but this is just a coalition of anti EU parties joining together under a common goal . They have maybe been a bit lost since their mouthpiece left the European Parliament and felt the need to make a collective noise .

I think we are still some way from the next exit but as Germany has shown its not hard to cut off EU spending if you you stop giving them money .With the rise of eurosceptic parties putting pressure on domestic governments maybe we will see a different EU in the future with less centralised power .  For the nations of the EU I hope so .

I must have missed it Thomas , some of us have to keep the economy of the country on a sound footing  ;)

But no Im not over the moon that the EU is revealing itself to be all ,as bad and some  as we said it was . I see expansion into (its not on the agenda) the Western Balkans is gaining pace ,your next £30 a day labourer would have come from Albania ,Kosovo or Bosnia .

After we jumped ship it seems to me the EU is trying to make sure it ties everyone else up in a debt trap  that few if any will ever be able to escape

AN ANTI-EU movement is growing across the bloc with members from six different EU states now signing to a joint manifesto to abandon Brussels.

I knew it would come!

You must be over the moon mate about how bad the eu has dealt with vaccines etc , talk about the feckin eu shooting itself in both feet. You have been right all along streetwalker about this organisation.

The funny part of that is, even one of the most ardent and well-known socialists said exactly the same thing the other day, it went something like, "oh I get it now".
I just thought well it took you long enough you daft idiot.

Its the same in scotland sheep. There is no doubt support for the eu is still the majority position and the aim of practically all the major political parties in scotland possibly outwith the tories , but even now many folk are saying with the new Alba party that we need to have a debate on the subject as there is quite a few grumblings regarding eu membership for scotland being the optimal position. ( some favouring EFTA)

Vaccine row has been yet another severe PR disaster for the eu and this and many other issues havent gone unnoticed.

Hardly surprising when the Spanish are proposing to use the funding to go on a 4 day week . Dont think anyone would be happy slogging away for 5-6 days so Spain can sit about drinking sangria .

That aside its probably against Nations constitutions  for the EU to take on a debt on behalf of sovereign countries and was one of the points raised by the eurosceptic EfD  in challenging the ratification of the fund by the German government .

The EU are going into 75 Bn Euro's worth of debt for their pandemic recovery fund.  To pay it back, it's getting 'pooled' among the EU nations with the richer nations paying back a larger share of the debt.  While the poorer EU countries stand to gain a larger percentage of the loan.

As a net contributor and the EU's 2nd largest economy, you know the UK would've gained little and paid back loads.

Thank god we're out of the ponzi scheme.
