No I dont think so though it could be heading toward a confrontation with its 6 million Muslim population .

Macron with the anti Islam  Le Penn hot on his heels has started making his own anti Islam speeches . Though for now he is restricting that to anti radical Islam he has said enough to draw a response from the Muslim world with a call to boycott  all French goods .

Much of France though of all political persuasions see the rise of Islam as a threat  to its Republican values and its here that the battle for France will take place

Agreed. France is mixture of the reactionary and the soft Left. Both Le Pens appeal to the residual Vichy mentality that has now been largely absorbed by the Gaullist centre Right and the old misdemeanours are swept under the Tapis. This group of generals probably believe themselves to be carrying the the  old General's cross of Lorraine. In more normal times, they might have a similar sized following to the UK's EDL. But Covid has distorted political support — and Macron is currently as popular as Flatulence dans un ascenseur. But if voters are faced with Marine v Macron run off in a presidential election, I doubt there'll be surprise at the result...

The Israeli nationalists are not the first to shout death to the Arabs .  Pope Urban was doing the same back in the 2nd C and they are still in Jerusalem .

Those military men have seen that France is being lost to Islamists.
The recent case of an Islamist murdering a 65 year old Jewish lady, Sarah Halimi, shows that even the highest courts are afraid to punish an Islamist murderer.
They allowed him the excuse that he had been taking cannabis.
