Sadly though they need a kicking on the attitude they wouldn't say half of it today. They should.

My father's politics did not go much beyond the belief that Mrs Thatcher was an agreeable piece of arse, but he did once comment that when the shit started flying, the Guardian and its readership tended to be somewhere else.
