I doubt that it is that big a problem. And if voter ID is something they do in Northern Ireland, well so is kneecapping.

Agree with JoG here, who has been the victim of personation, something which would be many times less likely if ID was required. I've voted in a country which requires ID at the time of voting and it really is not a big deal.

Only in the minds of those who wish to cheat, or benefit from cheating.


The ONLY aspect of proving you are who you say you are that I had any problem with was the concept that voters who did not have the cash to acquire the ID would not be able to vote.


The bill makes a commitment to providing photo ID to establish entitlement free of charge to any who want it.
