As for Lab leak theories, it was Fort Derrick in Maryland; a lab that also studies Coronoviruses, that was closed down by Federal Order in the summer of 2019 for breaches in handling and containment procedures...
Then of course, there was the response to the outbreak. China closed down and to this day has had little more than 100,000 cases nationwide, the vast majority of which were in the early months of 2020. The US currently, has had in excess of 34 Million.
