Currently at my brother's house and he's watching League of Gentlemen which must be one of the most poor attempts at comedy I've had the misfortune to witness.

I dont think its going to be too many more years before the TV  , certainly as it is at the minute , is consigned to the history books .

Our tv , like most of my family and friends  , sits gathering dust and is only switched on when someone wants to watch netflix in the living room instead of on their laptops in the bedroom.

I think the bbc and wider tv companies are going to be in big trouble very soon with the younger generations if they dont modernise , adapt and change  for the better.

An Fhirinn an aghaidh an t-Saoghail!

I suspect I also fall into the miserable old git category  ??? However yes, you've just hit the nail on the head - programming probably reflects society so we're all screwed.
We are sentient beings and capable of resisting the programming and the dishonest fake society it creates.  They will use guilt, shame and demonise you for not conforming, they may even one day kill you, but they can't take your mind if you don't let them.  I am sure most people merely play along because it's 'convenient' to do so (less aggravation and less hostility from the drones).

Pretty much agree with that but maybe Im just a miserable old git (whats your excuse ?  ;) )    They wouldn't put this crap on the telly if nobody watched it  which should maybe make us question the mental state  of the nation

Take it off, take it off.......more like SWITCH IT OFF!!!

I actually HATE all this crap - next up will be Love Island, just an excuse for VERY thinly veiled porn, promoting casual sex. What worries me more though is the fact that all contestents are young and fit - what a role model for our teens watching those silicon enhanced women eh!

And - the BBC have announced this week that Holby City is to be cancelled - a gritty drama (fair enough its a bit soap opera-ey but better than reality shite).

I very rarely watch live tv - preferring older stuff like detective dramas etc.

I suspect Holby has now explored every possible orifice for sexual gratification and is giving up because without bringing goats into the equation there is nothing more it can explore...

Which particular masked wanker TV program are you commenting about?

And you John?

I think it's bollox.

And all the other masked singers, masked magicians etc are too.

I'm currently working my way through various stuff on Netflix, getting used to not using live TV coz when my youngest pisses off to shack up with her fiancé in the £800 a month flat they're renting as of last week, she's taking her TV licence and auntie beeb can go f**k herself if she thinks I'm buying a new one.
