I have volunteered for an experimental medical treatment after being asked. ("You are going to die otherwise." being somewhat of an incentive.)
My wife and I both had to have counselling from a specialist nurse before I started the treatment. (They are choosy who is selected.)
I have thus far after about three months lost 15 kilos in weight, my blood pressure has dropped dramatically, as has my resting heart rate and my HbA1c reading, (whatever that is,) has dropped from 84 down to 46.
Well done, sounds like you are definitely going in the right direction.

As far as eating out goes, it's a bit of a pain at the moment with people getting stressy about masks and checking in on apps and the like.
Burger King will have to wait until July.
The local Indian I am really looking forward to visiting. They do great food.
July.

I think that is called food Pappy and the treatment is known as starvation.

Are you sure that you haven't upset your doctors? Or the dietician? Those nurses can be right little minxes at times

The medical treatment I have been on since the end of march mean I have had to cut out or cut down on, bread, dairy, fat, sugar and salt.

I have recently eaten out twice, ( a friend dragged me out, I was reluctant due to the near impossibility of eating out healthily currently.)
The medical treatment I have been on since the end of march mean I have had to cut out or cut down on, bread, dairy, fat, sugar and salt. (Normally not an issue.)
However the pandemic, coupled with Brexit mean all the local places to eat out are desperately short of staff and have had to cut the menu choice down drastically.
Luckily I managed to persuade in two establishments the chefs to cut out the cream, salt, and sugar for meals prepared for me. (My friend and his wife followed my requests well.)
Other local establishments have unfortunately gone down the junk food route.
It is looking as if for my birthday meal in a few weeks is going to be a Cook-It-Myself job.
(it is no problem at all getting locally sourced high quality ingredients.)
