Production is not reserves.

True, but looking at the Strine mining industry it is clear that the one thing the Diggers are good at is digging. So it looks as though Australia is set for one of its periodic booms.

Meanwhile Pappy, having driven off the tourists and anyone else likely to spend money in the county, is happy to declare Cornwall closed too, and indeed for, business   :) :)

Australia is currently the world's largest lithium producer — two and a bit times bigger than Chile and four times more than China.

Brexit is turning into a bigger disaster as time passes and it will only get worse.
There is no sign yet of lithium being produced at all in Cornwall, let alone in the many thousands of tonnes per year needed. If the Cornwall lithium turns out to be pie in the sky, the lithium will have to be mainly imported from China.
Oh no. now you will have to slag off the Australians. Give Pat credit where it is due, while pretty much everyone else realises you are not in any way educatable, he keeps trying.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

Could the Nissan and Australia deals be connected/dependent in some way? Australia's li-ion battery production is only just starting and is currently limited to trucks and buses and tailored to Australian weather conditions...

On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

I notice how you side stepped the key issue of Brexit though!!

A few problems with that, where is the lithium going to come from to make 100000 power packs per year.
Where is the infrastructure to charge the cars?  On a personal level it would cost more for me to put a charger in my garage than I paid for my current car.

Incorrect, you don't have the details, that doesn't mean there are problems. I am fairly confident the bosses of Nissan have though about this and not just announced a huge investment without having all their ducks in a row.

I notice how you side stepped the key issue of Brexit though!!

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Looks like another kick in the teeth for project fear as Nissan announces major expansion.

Yeah well, as the Westminster party are known to be totally unreliable and it is the day of a bi-election I will stick with making my own arrangements.
