Has anyone also considered freeing up gun ownership in the UK as a way of ridding the country of the mentally unstable, less well off and criminal classes? Seems to work in the US, where guns are culling around 40,000 people (or 12 per 100,000) a year. It catches a few undeserving individuals, but on the whole it's working well...
