Fantastic thread T00ts.

In my humble opinion, we should retaliate against the EU directly. Why do we spend billions on the Royal Navy if we can't intercept those dinghies? Escort them back to France and let Macron deal with them.

T00ts, a million a piece would bring in £8 billion for 2020 alone.
That's what we used to pay in EU contributions, but the people arriving will cost the taxpayer that.

So lets go for more - it was only a starting point. Dancing After all the medics need their 15% pay rise and no doubt every other Union will kick off shortly so we need to cover our backs. Everything with the EU is a negotiation so they say so let's start as we mean to go on.

There was a lot of criticism of the Greeks the other week, over reports that there coast guard were pushing migrant boats back into Turkish territorial waters.
There seems little difference in my eyes to that and the French pushing migrant boats out of French waters and into British.
These Asylum Seekers should seek asylum in the EU, not be pushed out into Britain, we should push them back to the French side.

Control your borders better.

Pappy surf  has suggested many a time that the socialist workers of Cornwall would be happy to set up gun turrets to hose down migrant dinghies in the channel  , but failing that , I'm not sure how you would go about forcing the eu to pay such a charge.

Couldn't we do a swop?

All the immigrants I know are foxy, grasping buggers, ducking and weaving and with an eye for the main chance. In fact, pretty much like the society I grew up in.

A while back I went off to see the in laws in God's Own Country, ie outside the M25. The local rag had a banner headline on the opening of a new branch of the Co-Op. As a matter of fact I think it is the same head line they had in 1844 when they set up Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers, although I believe that issue had an engraving of Queen Victoria in camiknickers.

A lot of immigrants come from places stuck in the 19th century and a lot of Brits want to live there. Maybe we could do an exchange?

Oh THATS easy.

As you know, Remainer May's divorce bill will have us paying the EU severance pay until 2050. Just dock the said amount per migrant off that. They'd soon start sending their gendarmerie force to bayonet the boats on the beaches.

<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

I believe that we have paid millions to France to help them prevent the exodus to these shores for those still flooding through the EU looking for a 'better' life after that ridiculous invitation from Merkel. Yet today again we see reports of French boats actually accompanying fragile little dinghies to the border and across to Dover.

Perhaps instead of paying for something that simply isn't working we could charge the EU for each immigrant that arrives here to offset the departure invoice that they are intent on claiming from us. What about £500,000 per person rising £1,000pp each month that it doesn't stop - that should about cover it?
