people.
The ONS data show that the percentage of admissions in the 65 to 74 age range is now just 12 per cent of the winter peak. For 75s to 84s, it is 10 per cent, while those 85 and over are being admitted at just eight per cent of the previous high.
So it is entirely unsurprising that younger people are making up the bulk of hospital admissions. In fact, the latest data from Public Health England (PHE) suggest that about 68 per cent of all hospital admissions in the delta variant wave are in the under-50s age group.https://www.msn.com/en-gb/health/medical/statistics-showing-more-young-people-hospitalised-with-covid-are-not-what-they-seem/ar-AAMZcwc

The point seems to be that the number of older people being hospitalised is currently falling rapidly due to vaccination. Conversely the number of younger people ill enough with Covid to be admitted to hospital is remaining constant — reckoned to be because of their lower vaccine uptake...

yep your part quote is showing the same as pappies above.

To sum up yet again , while the younger generation trend for hospitalisations at the minute is the same as the high point mid january this year , the older generations trend for hosptialisations is much much lower.......but the elderly still make up the bulk of hospitalisations.

checked the data from your nhs in England , and its similar to scotland and elswhere.

heres another cherry picked paragraph from your very own link.

Undoubtedly this is true – but it is worth bearing in mind that the chance of young people being admitted to hospital after catching Covid is very small. Data from PHE show that, for the under-50s, just 0.7 per cent of infections will result in an overnight hospital stay.

So the real truth is that the risk from Covid for young people is very small, but they can lower it even further by accepting the offer of a jab. Doing so may bring wider benefits to both themselves and society.

New figures from the NHS show that 20% of people hospitalised with COVID right now are young – between the ages of 18 to 34According to NHS England, patients aged 18-34 are more than one-fifth of those admitted to hospital in England last month (July).

Caw Blimey  scroll down the page for recent data, not from effing months ago.
You are worse than a Daily Heil reporter.

I did pappy. You obviously didnt. The data isnt from months ago ,its for the week ending 1st august. Thats last sunday.

Highest infected age group was schoolkids at 7 to 11 years old.

75 years old and above made bulk hospital covid admissions , more than all other groups put together , and 75 above made bulk of covid deaths , more thanall other age groups put together.

Read your own link pappy.

here have a wee read and mind put your fecking specs on...

Positivity rates were highest among secondary school age children (school Years 7 to 11) and lowest in adults aged 70 years and over in the latest week (week ending 31 July 2021). Hospital admission rates remained highest in those aged 75 years and over (week ending 1 August). The number of deaths involving COVID-19 increased in all age groups aged 15 years and over (week ending 23 July, England). The number of deaths involving COVID-19 was highest in those aged 85 years and over and lowest in children aged 14 years and under

You can't even read or look a link properly. Hospital admissions are now very low for older ages.

from your own link and i quote...

QuoteHospital admission rates continue to be higher among older age groups but were much lower in the week ending 1 August 2021 than the mid-January peak (week ending 17 January 2021). Among those aged 45 to 54 years, admissions were one quarter of their mid-January peak while among those aged 85 years and over they were almost 13 times lower.

However, admission rates in younger age groups were similar to those seen in mid-January.

The age differences in current rates compared with those seen in mid-January likely reflect the age prioritisation of the vaccination programme in England.

very ambiguous statement. your own link says hopsital admission rates are still highest among the older age groups , despite being lower than previous peaks , while younger age groups are similar to mid january.

to sum up...

Recent COVID-19 positivity rates were lowest in older age groups, but hospital admission rates and deaths were highest

Barry

As a matter of interest, recent figures are destroying any case for lockdowns or restrictions.
ONS data can be found on their websites and Boris is shocked at how well so-called freedom day has gone.
If the statistics show that we should have never locked down, who will pay the price?
Don't answer, I already know - me and other ordinary people in the street.

Oh, and Hancock might have to resign. Except he already did, so no worries for Sajid Javid.
