The Italians are hoping to create more debt, which was previously offloaded on the UK tax payer. Now that we left the Ponzi scheme, Germany will have to pick up the burden. One more Brexit bonanza for us.

Well yes and no. The UK will probably buy up a chunk of the Italian debt, which should be a nice little earner provided the Germans pay the interest, which they will almost certainly do. They have the money and want their place in the sun. So win win for everyone.
