Borchester

Zulu

About the only thing they got right historically was the date. But the acting was first class, the cinematography superb and the sound track...

The first ever Star Trek motion picture.

No one could seriously argue that it is anything other than a crap film, but as a Star Trek fan when I was a kid, I loved it. Must have watched it a dozen times now.

Now you mention it, the one after the one where they save the whales, the one where they find god, and kill him, is probably even worse that number 1, which had a seriously naff plot, but at least had that bald busty wench with the wierd name

They also seriously missed a decent plot line

The interstellar craft Carl Sagan sent out with the embossed porn and directions showing where we came from were powered by plutonium, which leaving aside the radioactivity is pretty much the most toxic to life element we knew of at the time.

If I had been on the creative team for I or IV which is the one where a klingon uses one for target practice, trust me, earth would have been attacked by a war fleet crewed by an army of triggered eco warriors led by a poison dwarf blonde ....

We are not all in the same boat. We are in the same storm. Some of us have yachts. Some of us have canoes. Some of us are drowning.

My eldest badgered me for ages to watch Fight Club, that was 2 hours I'll never get back.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I know Jim Steinman but not the film.

Consider yourself to have dodged a bullet.

Here's the official trailer.

The band's film name was "Ellen Aim And The Attackers" performing the number Steinman wrote and became the films signature, "nowhere fast". If you know the lyrics, "everybody's going nowhere, slowly, they're all tyring to get away from the past, there's nothing wrong with going nowhere, baby, but we should be going nowhere .. FAST"

If you watch it, do let me know if they leave the line from the cop about a "busload of spade musicians and a white girl" in it ....

Cost fourteen million to make, took six at the box office.

Just watch Rocky for about the millionth time.
It has to be one of the best crap find ever. Stallone clearly can't act but who got Talia Shire to agree to be in it? Saying that, I did enjoy Paradise Alley.
