We might do Tommy. According to these guys, we might have nuclear fusion in four years, which should please the SNP. From all accounts Wee Krankie isn't really into oil and such. She seems to have a dream of an independent Scotland (well, as independent as Brussels will allow), powered by LGBT rainbows.

The English will still need a supply of lithium to provide tritium. Fortunately there is plenty of it in Cornwall, so if we pack Pappy off to the slave mines to do his bit by old England, we should be ok.
I know our politics are often very different but you do often make me laugh. Have you ever considered applying for a job at Private Eye magazine? Your humour is a bit like theirs.

But I see a serious point to latch onto. Cornwall is geographically out on a limb with poor transport links so not considered a prime investment area unless it be something intrinsic to the locality, like tourism exploiting the many excellent Cornish beaches. But that industry tends to be seasonal and low paid, so the best and brightest often leave the county to get on in life. But if Cornwall happens to be a location where mineral resources of the future are to be found, it could result in good local well paid all year round jobs being created, which is the sort of thing the Cornish economy badly needs.
We are not all in the same boat. We are in the same storm. Some of us have yachts. Some of us have canoes. Some of us are drowning.

Totally agree ,that why you shouldnt be so dependent on scottish oil gas and natural resources. Get independence cromwell , set your country free.

Not sure cromwell , do you have any evidence yet?

Can you also provide any evidence of wether russia  is a destination for people to go and live  or not, thanks in advance.
Waste of time you've gone off on one of your diversions, any evidence would be dismissed as western propaganda.

Btw are you really agreeing that Lukashenko won fair and square?

Also don't remember Howard threatening Madrid with an h bomb he did say it would like the falklands be defended.

Do you have link that he said that?

hadnt heard that john , but perhaps you can link to where it is well documented. Are we talking journalistic opinion , as cromwell and toots are , or hard evidence?

To be honest john  , the putin bad stories are like the boy who cried wolf . We hear so many of them , as i said earlier its almost parody like the "paranoia" of certain people that vlad is lurking behind every shadow that afflicts the world.
The only real version of this is where countries stop paying for their gas or fail to renegotiate contracts for Supply with Gazprom. Yes Russia has historically given generous rates to former Soviet states, but does not re-offer these when contracts expire to countries that have installed openly hostile governments. This is what happened to Ukraine that started stealing gas being piped through to the Eu and which was why both South Stream was proposed and Nord Stream 2 was built to supply direct and cheaper to the EU.
Moldova was in the news recently when its contract with Gazprom ended and it started looking (at EU prompting) for a none Russia supply from the EU. There was not one, there was a shortage (despite Gazprom maintained a small gas supply out of contract) therefore they went back to Gazprom.

there has been tensions in the baltic states and eastern europe now for years. Was russin ships sailing along the channel a few years back a sign putin was "prompting FRance" to send refugees across the channel?

But allowing our utilities or reliance on any one source would be a mistake would it not.

Right so no answer why Russia isn't a choice to relocate.

We we're also told that if we voted brexit we'd all see the sky fall in.

What has either to do with what I originally said.

Thatll be nowt.
Ah more cromwells diversions. What about evidence putin is prompting refugees cromwell.?

You are floundering mate.

It really is the same shit different day from you and other usefull helpers like toots cromwell. As sampan says , these migrants are largely people displaced from war torn countries by the americans and their lapdogs   , you british , and you blame everyone and everything for them heading into europe and possibly blighty excpet the culprits themselves , britain and america.

How many times do we see the same thing play out?

The yanks and poodles take out gaddafi in libya......the doors open to refugees in the med , spain and italy take the brunt and you blame people smugglers and the spanish and italians.

then we had syria , another failure of yank foriegn policy , and brit lapdogs , and its all merkels fault this time.

Then iraq , and lately afghanistan , where the yanks ran with their tails between legs and brits followed , thier refugees head for europe , and this time , its putins fault.

I see on anther forum someone blaming the EU for it all?

Other times its the french fault , for your government s abject failure to control your own fecking borders from people you have helped turn into refugees by destroying their countries.

With helpfull parroters of mainstream media shite like you and toots , no wonder your country is in such a fecking mess.

Here you go Thomas - will this help?

I doubt Putin's bombers are there for the EU.

Edit - Now the latest is that at least half of the poor folk at the Polish border think they are heading for the UK.
It doesnt help toots ....no . Its not evidence of putin prompting the mass influx of displaced refugees as you and cromwell are hinting. Rather its a show of strength to back up a neighbour and ally , the same way as you do , for example when tory michael howard was talking about nuking madrid over gibraltar .

Putin deliberately reduces the flow of gas through a pipeline that passes through former Soviet Socialist Republics on its way to Western Europe every year for many years.

This is well documented.

He was also getting blamed recently for turning off europes gas supply  , and when he popped up to guarentee europeans would not go cold this winter ...

Putin deliberately reduces the flow of gas through a pipeline that passes through former Soviet Socialist Republics on its way to Western Europe every year and has done for many years.

This is well documented.

He does it to wield death through hypothermia as a weapon against those former Soviet socialist republics to keep them in line.

His pressure and flow volume restrictions inevitably hit the Western European countries at the far end of the pipeline. This happens every year and every year he makes concessions that increase the flow to Western Europe. He claims Western Europe is not the target if his actions but he does have a habit of using biological, chemical and nuclear agents in Western European cities to eradicate those who dislike him so I for one take his assurances with a bucket of salt from the former Ural sea's salt flats.

If he wished, he could leave significant quarters of the European Union to freeze to death.

The United States would have gone to war long before now had they been at the end of this antics, but then again the USA gets trigger happy over energy security.

So with that it mind and you knowing full well the folly of our involvement and presumably the negative consequences of it for those unfortunate enough to live there, why do you when confronted with thousands of the aforementioned on the borders of Europe, then start squawking about Vladimir Putin??!!
Squawk? Don't be silly the fact we made serious errors well when I say we I mean twats like Bliar doesn't mean I can't recognise Putins involvement in all this.

Sadly I can't resurrect my posts from years ago but I said then that above even criminality from Bliar and Bush,I was laughed at by some regards support for the Kurds.

I also believed that we should be spending to support people in their own countries and culture.
