Err, well John, I'm very disappointed in your reasoning at the moment.  It is precisely YOU, who is wondering why we should treat Covid jabs differently to smallpox jabs.  The main justification for mandatory Covid jabs is based on the claim that it protects other people, by reducing transmission.  It is the UK government that is claiming that it reduces the spread, and masses of the media, and the NHS.

"People inoculated against Covid-19 are just as likely to spread the delta variant of the virus to contacts in their household as those who haven't had shots, according to new research."

So, just to be clear, it is at best misleading, and at worst, false to claim that it reduces the spread at all.

I was looking at statistics today and realised I made a mistake when I posted this.
It's more than 6 million tests a WEEK, not per day and apologies for the inaccuracy.
