Voters will have to show ID

Bollocks to that. I am not some towelhead from Tower Hamlets or an Ulster nun. I have voted at the same polling station for the last thirty years without showing ID and I don't intend to start now.

Hmmm, OK. I agree in principal as anything to prevent electoral fraud has to be good.

However:

Voters across the country will have to show identification such as driving licences or passports before casting their ballot, under plans to be unveiled in the Queen's Speech.



Seems ok to me.  ID cards are a no no, but this seems like a good idea.
