Gerry, you can play all the numbers games in the world. Before Brexit you were saying JIT would crash and burn and that the big automotive players would leave. None of which has come to pass. Now you're even saying JIT would never collapse due to Brexit, a 180 degree about turn. 

The fact is that the U.K. is still the 5th biggest economy in the world and France has slipped to 7th. Now there is a Brexit bonus.

Not sure there is a disastrous devaluation of the £ Gerry.
For quite some time the Euro was worth around 90 pence, but is now down at 84p. The devaluation of the £, if it existed, has to be exceeded by the devaluation of your Euro.

The uk economy is always leapfrogging and then falling behind france. As for some economic forecast , as people always say economic forecasts of what "may " happen in fifteen years time is akin to somecant reading your stars for you.

I fink the only forecast that matter to remongers and their moist dreams is the fact they hope in fifteen years time that engerlund , or the uk if it still exists , is back in the safe cosy arms of the eeeeyou .

Sounds good. I don't know how it happened because I haven't been working any harder, but I imagine that the rest of you have been quietly grafting away for the sake of dear old England.

I suppose it means we will have to copy the Germans and start importing lots of Turkish guestworkers, which is all the good because they are usually Kurds and set up branches of Woody's wherever they go.
