Noel Gallagher: Labour Party have ‘betrayed the working classes’

Somewhere  to the right of the Conservatives is where the working classes can now be found not some offshoot of the labour party

might be in your country mate , not mine or wales/ireland.

I take your point though , and the wider picture yet again is what is the point of new labour? They seem to be in the two horse race to make up the numbers.

If they do stumble into power as good old suggests , the downward spiral will continue . They have nothing new to offer except more of the same.

What interests me about this story is how yet another former labour supporting stalwart like gallagher is coming out with stuff like this , and basically saying starmers party are not to be trusted.

Yet another from a northern english "labour fiefdom" abandoning the party , following the trend we set in scotland many years ago.

It shows once more as has been said many a time that labour are the party of the middle class champagne socialists in and around your neck of the woods in southern england. Shouldnt starmers latest reinacarnation of new labour , just like millibands offering before corbyn , merge with ed daveys lib dems and let some other party arise to represent the english white working class?

Any party that represents the white working class would be as far away from the current labour party as its possible

I realised that Labour had betrayed the working class in the Blair years. I was in my 30s at the time. Though to be fair it wasn't really until Blair came along that Labour abandoned the working class. Prior to then the working class had been seen as the bedrock of the party.

Noel Gallagher has hit out at the Labour Party, saying they are "a ******* disgrace" who have "betrayed the working classes."
The former Oasis rocker has a lifelong association with the Party, having been a big supporter of Tony Blair's New Labour, but has suggested he will no longer vote for them – and would rather launch his own political party.
Gallagher grew up in Manchester during Margaret Thatcher's reign as prime minister, and is now worth an estimated £50 million following his successful career as part of Oasis, as well as his solo work.

Speaking to The Matt Morgan Podcast, Noel said: "'I ******* hate the Labour Party, they're a ******* disgrace. What they've become now, a disgrace.

"They are not capable of running an after-show party. I should start a new party called the After Show Party, it would be great."
The singer and guitarist said he had become frustrated with how Labour have been unable to the Tories since Tony Blair's resignation in 2007.
Speaking about Boris Johnson, Gallagher said: "He is the symbol of how ******* disgraceful the Labour Party are.
"If that man and this Conservative Party won a landslide against the Labour Party then what are we saying about the ******* Labour Party. A ******* disgrace."
