Could VAT on gas and electricity be cut to zero?

Well, VAT could be eradicated.

It was an EEC demand that we introduce it

We are not part of the EU

We could exterminate this tax on the poorest in society immediately. 

Dominic Rabb promised he would do this very thing if he was made leader of the Tories when Traitor May walked.

The question is not can we drop Vat on electricity

The question is why do we still have it on anything

To be fair they've sent me £200 fuel allowance and a £10 bonus for sitting on this forum chewing the cud, so another £1 a week would be OK, but I'm happy for them to keep it. They must have a bit of a shortfall at the moment.
