i couldnt even be bothered giving him an in depth answer that if a lefty pro european newspaper isnt a credbile source when it says queues are being blamed on spikes in freight traffic not brexit , then what can be classed as a credible source?

Typical pappy , who wants to be the judge and jury over what is credible source . He himself has posted plenty links to the guardian over the years.
So you could not be bothered to read all of the links?
Then there is this:-

The Guardian is reasonably reliable for a lefty newspaper, IMO.

Remember last january he started off on the same footing regarding hold ups at dover because of bad brexit? same hysteria and screaming and tory bad rubbish?

I was reading the emergency paperwork facilities in kent that were set up last year after the initial hold up s were closed apparently three weeks later. While pappy and others were screaming about the end of the world , companies like DHL moved three quarters of a million truckloads in and out of the EU with very few hold ups.

QuoteGVMS established 1 Jan 2022, effectively pre clears goods into and out of UK before the truck gets anywhere near the port?

100% success.

Actually quicker overall than it used to be in EU FOM days as many cargos which are now pre cleared (livestock, some hazardous goods and even (and I like this one) pharmaceuticals and medical chemicals) used to be subject to checks at ports.

There you go barry. Expect more of the same from someone with little imagination and a willingness to follow the tory bad brexit bad herd.

The only good thing is its now the boy who cried wolf syndrome. they have spent so many false dawns and raised so many false alarms that they are now being laughed at , and the only ones who take them serious are the same middle class liberals who have been screaming about brexit from day one.

That there have been problems with delays  at Dover Ferryport since January the 1st is now obvious.  Except it seem to rabid Brexiteers. Away from Dover there is this:-

I'm not denying there are no delays at Dover. I am saying that Kent Online article was based on one Tweet from an activist, Graham Hughes.

Welsh ports had 30% less traffic due to Brexit - shipping chief

Published2 hours ago

Holyhead and Fishguard ports saw a 30% drop in traffic in 2021, according to its operator Stena Line.

Ian Davies, boss of Stena's UK ports, said it was down to the new post-Brexit trading relationship with the European Union rather than the pandemic.

:D

Forecasts of doom gloom and armageddon  , and here we are a year later , and off he goes again.
The forecasts appear to have been accurate:-

Cover up the fact that we are doing exactly the same as the EU is doing?
You're such a hypocrite, you fully expect the EU to check our lorries due to new regs but are now complaining that we are doing the same.

National Highways denies traffic cameras showing M20 lorry queues were deliberately switched off
Traffic cameras showing miles of queues of lorries on the M20 were not deliberately switched off, says National Highways.

The images of HGVs at Folkestone – queued up due to Dover TAP being in force – were not showing on the agency's trafficengland.com site earlier this week.

Dover blames queues on spike in freight traffic not Brexit

The Guardian is not a credible source. I used two sources that are credible. The regulations that came into force on January the 1st this year are the problem. The government was warned what would happen and as per usual they took no notice.

did laugh at this bit...

:D

One driver, "Gerry" Donovan, who has been" moaning" about Brexit checks for the past three years, said it was taking "10-20m per vehicle to process paperwork", adding sarcastically it had "absolutely nothing to do with Brexit apart from the fact Covid has nothing to do with it".

Dover blames queues on spike in freight traffic not Brexit

Highways England confirmed that high volumes of traffic had led to queues but with Brexit checks in place for more than a year, drivers were baffled as to why this week had been so bad.

The increase in freight traffic meant that the Operation Travel Access Protocol (TAP), a temporary traffic management system, which was devised for heavy traffic times in 2015, was put in place on Wednesday and Thursday leading to tailbacks on the A20.
Drivers were also reporting long delays at the inland border facility in Ashford where truckers must pre-notify French authorities of their cargo in order to get the goods vehicle movement certification necessary for boarding a ferry.
Some have blamed a new software system, now in operation, which could have led to additional teething problems in Ashford.
