Because the Tories have a very efficient propaganda machine which fools people into voting for them.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
Attributed to Joseph Goebbels.

It should be pointed out that Joseph Goebbels ended up killing his wife and children a day after the death of his employer. The latter had given him the top job in the German government, but Joe was clearly overwhelmed by it all, so topped himself.

And Machiavelli ended up disgraced, tortured and the pub bore.

Why we celebrate these second rate thugs when we have chaps like Vespasian, who lived a long and happy life and got his accountant to list payments to his mistresses as business expenses I do not know, but there is a certain admiration in some circles for loutish incompetence

Ah, the honourable member for (grubby) underpants strikes again.

The guy was SO keen to not shake my hand when I went to congratulate him for winning, he fell off the podium and might have broken his neck.

I tried, guys, I tried.
Yeah well you were trying to take his scam away, so he wouldn't have been happy with you. I can see that.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

The very principle the Tories have applied to our politics, since the banking crisis .

I'm hardly surprised you want to say that.

The problem is of course Blair was the very same. Where do you think the Tories got by the idea from

of course  because labour dont lie or use propaganda either.

If labour werent so self righteous in their criticism of the tories , people might take you a wee bit more serious.

The man has shown chutzpa by resigning over schoolboy errors from Sunak who fancies himself as the next PM. This is a case of criminals/fraudsters taking these funds and dear little Sunak wants to write off the debt.

The only time you post on this forum is when the tories are having issues......and its typical of the labour party. No vision , no policies , nothing to offer except sit and lob hand grenades at the tories and hope you get a direct hit.

If that were true I would be on here more than you are  to no great effect.  :D     Not lobbing hand grenades.  Just making note of the Tories, imploding, in a sea of self harm.
The policy will be there when the waters calm. Just talking policy as the Tories do right now in the eye of a storm, doesn't hold water. So not needed to a greater degree right now.

Seems to me

1. you dont know many folk.

2.those you do arent representative of the yookay as a whole.

To be fair pappy , you are well known on this forum as an extrovert drama queen with a penchance for total over exxageration.

look at last year for one small example ,when you were telling us cornwall was a nuclear wasteland with no food in supermarkets , due to the tories and brexit , and nick took a weeks holiday down in cornwall and posted pictures of supermarkets bulging with food and smiling happy people healthy happy fully fed and enjoying themselves much to your utter annoyance.

I thinks it safe to say we can take your "anecdotal evidence" with facking bucketload of salt. you are happiest when you are moaning.
