Do you know Findus, I don't think that I have ever read a book on the Spanish Armada in which the English won and Johnny Foreigner lost.

But as God said, fvck the EU, we are all Englishmen here, Brexit may be a bit delayed but it will arrive shortly.

I'm not nationalistic Borchie. Anyway, you're not all Englishmen, there the Scottish and Irishmen. Anyway, as Barnier said, this negotiation has been easy. The real negotiation is going to happen once you're out. And you'll be out soon enough, don't worry.

Depending on the result of the elections, there could still be no Brexit at all.

True. I watched Jo Swinson in parliament arguing against Anna Soubry's "People's Vote" on the grounds that a new election could put her into power.

She would then revoke article 50 on her first day in Parliament.

This must be worth a fiver at the bookies. That's my tip of the day Findeton.  :hattip

Third time you're resetting the countdown Barry. At the hands of Boris Johnson this time.

I have no fear of a second referendum - deal or no deal.

I still don't put it past the SNP/Libdem alliance to put a 2nd ref on the same day in their proposal or amend it to allow it. Tony Blair has been peddling the idea. I can't believe that they are gifting BJ a way out without covering their own backs. The good of the people is their last concern.

LOL if brains were dynamite. That ego has been fulfilled.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

Sky News still reporting 3 days to Brexit. I doubt it will happen, but it could. There are several unknowns.

Sky seems to be in slomo today. The press online is up to date. Macron delayed just long enough for SNP/Libdem to blink!

I guess no-one is surprised. The last thing they want is a no-deal or the blame for one.

He said you'd be out on the 31st Oct, on the first day as PM. Then he sent a letter to the EU requesting an extension. He said he'd "rather be dead in a ditch" than this situation, but he didn't even resign.

Which either makes him very clever or very stupid, you are willing to pick the stupid option with little thought, the moment he said it,anyone who knows how Westminster and the EU works would automatically know it would be attacked from all angles, where the name of the game is kick the can until the EU and Parliament think they have a majority to overturn the referendum.Whereas if it was clever thinking it would put the majority which we all know is Brexit orientated as proved many times, would be up in the air and return a Conservative government who are still saying they will carry through Brexit after 3 1/2 years.when even after trying to throw the last election.

It's psychological warfare. Did you expect him to roll over on his back and give in? Although a letter went he sent it with the obvious disdain he felt. It is not the opposition pushing the government it is BJ pushing the

opposition into revealing just how duplicitous they are. It's a political chess game.

Why do you say that? It's common knowledge that the Remain lobby are only too happy to have debating time on the WA in order to amend it. Customs Union, single market, 2nd ref are just some of them. It doesn't fool anyone.
