Some of it is, due to the extra costs involved in importing goods from the EU.
Is Brexit the reason why the inflation rate is 6.7% in Spain?

sure but thats the downside to you supporting the ending of freedom of movement , and now kidding on you are a johnny come lately lukewarm remainer.

Tell boycey how you wanted to machine gun migrant children from gun turrets on dover beaches in one of your shooting fetishes you regaled us with on here.

How we laughed.

well you must be happy freedom of movement has ended. I remember how angry you were about this eu rule , one of the four freedoms , and the only way to get out of it was to leave the eu.

So well done pappy for arguing for brexit in part.

I tell you pappy , you really are an unsung hero for the tories and brexiters arent you , with all these little bits of help you keep giving.

Inflation isn't down to Brexit. Inflation is down to supply issues and a demand for fuel. Potatoes are a direct consequence of fuel used digging them up and getting them transported to store. Brexit is the result of a loss of export trade right now. I have always said Covid was Johnsons good fortune. It has masked the clusterfuck Brexit is by moving the focus onto Inflation and not onto red-tape and export trade reduction.
thanks to you and pappies hard work on here the day im feeling suitably educated.

Thank you boycey. My day is complete , and understanding of inflationary pressures on the tottie market sorted.

Do you think gerry has a sweat on about the cost of totties going up boycey , or is inflation solely down to the nasty brexiters in brexit britian?

I tell you boycey , with the two forum comedians pappy and you keeping us all on the straight and narrow , how can things possibly go wrong.

The cost of potatoes have gone up because the price of fuel has gone up. When we lockdown, fuel production shut down and as demand for things didn't just disappear because we lockdown (it was on hiatus). When we opened up everything was in low supply and we have inflation because of it as everyone is racing to catch up and fuel production needs to catch up.

So you reckon the price of seed potatoes has risen because Deppity has spent all his money on expensive cars unsuitable to a man of his age and thus created the current inflationary spiral?

You could be right. Deppity was an NCO and they are the backbone of the British army, which is another way of saying that they are responsible for much of what happens. I think that he should log in and explain himself

Things are getting out of hand because we closed up the economy and there is a race to catch up. I remember saying inflation would be a repercussion of lockdowns at the time and remember discussing this with a user called Deppity Dawg (and others in other forums) and have been proven right. But at the time (not DD, he was a smart guy) everone was like, f**k inflation give me my free cash to sit at home. Well OK, but now we have expensive spuds. You can't have it both ways. And BoJo was in charge of the sinking ship so the blame should be firmly on him.

11 shillings per potato.
132 old pence, Borky. You should call the Peelers on them.
Exactly Barry.

Eleven bob. Time was when I could have gotten six pints of half and half for that.
