Not melting at the first sign disrespect is maybe an attribute for all that wish to lead us , man or woman .
Oh most certainly we all need a backbone it's just that too it often seems to go just one way.

You say that but once again it undermines the women so it's a triviality. How are women supposed to feel valued or respected? We want women in positions where they can affect decisions that include us but what does it say to those who might be looking at a political career? Once again it all goes in favour of men and women are belittled. It make me so angry.

patman post

I can remember vehicle repair shops and print works where large calendars and posters of nudes were pinned up around the place, sometimes even in places where clients would go.

That seems to have stopped (don't know if that's because so many are now run and largely staffed by Muslims), but it could be that we — the general population — are becoming sensitised to the negatives of demeaning, disrespecting and objectifying women.

There are still male dinosaurs around at all levels, plenty of who are upset at women actually getting their rightful place in society.

Hopefully, such misogynistic characters are being ostracised and removed from where they have influence, and will soon be restricted to a few social media forums...
On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Im not sure if Parliament is any different to what its always been , its just that people are reporting trivialities that would be brushed aside in the past as irrelevent .
It really is schoolboy stuff at the moment , why would anyone care about a girls legs ,who fancies who  or that Ben Wallace can't take the banter of the bar ?

The porn viewer on the benches is a different matter , they should build some stocks on Parliament green for tossers like that

Angela Rayner is accused of using leg movements to put Boris off. Someone has been spotted on the Conservative benches viewing porn during proceedings. A Labour front bencher reckons that a woman MP is a secret weapon since MPs want to bed her, while Ben Wallace considers the bars poisonous. Whatever is Westminster coming to?

Has Politics in this country sunk so low that only the dross of society considers it a worthwhile occupation? Is the lack of accountability at the top percolating down through the ranks to the point that no-one has any thought for standards of behaviour which could well be a sackable offence in the real world?
