Oh well, not wishing to create a shed more disgust, the thought just crossed my mind that it is impossible for someone to be disgusted by posts less insulting than their own, or they would get so disgusted with themselves that they would not manage to complete the job and post it.

So try this thought experiment. Say you were only born with one hand and the woman was a hand. Then the two become one flesh, so you are now there with two hands. You would look rather stupid if you were trying to do a manual job and your left hand was arguing with your right hand.

They try and hide it, but in films it is exploited as a common trait and feeling amongst the masses of Uncle Sam's residents. You can learn a lot about society from what things films exploit. They are our instincts, and of course in men their instinct is defence, so you have a lot of blood and guts where this is exploited to male customers of the tripe. The marketing would never work on a mass scale if the feelings were not there anyway.

Actually the above presupposes I'm a follower of fads and simply support modern things because they are modern. I'm odd though. I neither fully support all modern things and nor to I disagree with all modern things. I decide for myself if a modern idea is better or worse.



We're getting a bit confused as well, since modern has two meanings in this context. It could mean advanced science, or it could be what artists called the modern period, which as you might know was followed by post-modernism. The former is generally accepted as having some merit, but the latter is more often used as a joke word, as per the example, "His thinking on the matter was postmodern".
