Probably not.

Towards the end it was estimated that a quarter of the paramilitaries on both sides were in the pay of British Intelligence, so I imagine that the rest were worried about becoming inactive (ie dead) terrorists

There have been some strange deaths of IRA who thought they could disappear to foreign parts and live with impunity.
(If you go somewhere to hide abroad and own a bar frequented by British tourists someone is going to recognise you eventually.)

Golden rule: You don't negotiate with terrorists, and you certainly don't invite them to the HoC's.

Suing someone costs money which is why we most just see rich people doing it.

As for the trial you mention in October, I await with interest.
Corbyn's probably got plenty of crowd-funded support — there's plenty of easily persuaded useful idiots for almost any socialist cause...

No one needs smear Wurzel. He just walks straight into it. :)
He's one of these committed anti-almost-everything the established majority wants and pro-almost-anything the established majority is against.

I don't doubt he's committed to his causes, and some of them may even eventually turn out to be correct — eg, Northern Ireland and negotiating with Nationalist terrorists. But I suggest that they were brought to the table because they were losing the armed struggle, not through much, if anything, Corbyn insisted on butting in on...

Maybe he should hang on to his winnings on that one then — he's defending a writ brought against him next month...

You seem to forget that's exactly what they did to achieve peace. Corbyn was simply ahead of his time in recognising the need. The queen herself even shook the hand of Martin McGuinness.

Strange how they put so much effort into doing it then isn't it? And much of the so called "cosying up to terrrorists" is just another smear you are gleefully buying into. Meeting Gerry Adams for example - something that a lot of people eventually did in pursuit of peace - was itself done with the pursuit of peace in mind, not terror. He recognised the same thing your lot eventually did, that to bring peace you have to talk to these people.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Has Corbyn ever successfully sued anyone for libel and/or defamation?Suing

Corbyn, himself, is being sued, by blogger Richard Millett, over remarks made on the BBC's Andrew Marr show in 2018. The trial is due to begin in October...

Complete total and utter propaganda and lies, and I would remind you Corbyn has successfully sued someone for making statements like that.

I really cannot be bothered to post the links yet again.  That you continue to believe the lies and propaganda is shameful.
He believes it because he wants to believe it. Because it suits his politics and all his preconceptions to believe it. Same is true of many.

Smears work so effectively because millions want to believe them for politically motivated reasons, and these people constantly re-propagate the myths to others all around them, as he is trying to do here.

A lifelong anti-racist was successfully smeared as an anti-semite, after attempts to smear him as pro-Russian fell flat.

Corbyn's own words shot down? Nice to see you are continuing where you left off, with no links.
