I see she pled guilty at the Old Bailey today by videolink.

I dare say she will be given a suspended or non custodial sentence which will make her liable for damages. Justice will have been done.
Justice was scuppered the minute she was smuggled out of the country , if it was momentary lapse of concentration then stand in front of the judge and say so. At least it would show some respect for yourself and the life she had allegedly taken. She now has neither. But I get the feeling it won't bother her anyway.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

To be fair, it's an easy thing to do as a foreigner to drive on the wrong side of the road. I've done it here in England in hire cars when we were living abroad it was more natural to drive on the right. Fortunately, I soon realised before anything sinister happened.
So that really does make it just a careless moment. They drive on the right on their bases in the UK. I've been to Alconbury, so I know.

Having said that showing some remorse would be prudent as would an apology. Have either been forthcoming?

To the lesser charge of causing death by careless driving

Which carries a lesser sentence.

I'm not sure justice will have been done but then I was rammed by a 32 ton artic driver and all they finally got him for was due care and bloody attention

She's going to have a court hearing, at last.
I'm sure Northants Police will be pleased. They never should have bailed her as she did not have diplomatic immunity, but we all make mistakes.

I dont think people are normally held on remand for a traffic accident Barry . It was never a good look for the Americans to fly Sacoolas home and yes she should have  faced the music which would have probably been non custodial anyway . Didnt make sense to me at the time and doesnt really now .

unless she had necked a couple of bottles of Pino of course
