The parts are quite different, so if you do not care so much for one, the next part will be along soon after and probably more to your taste.

I liked that, too.

My first thoughts in the first couple of minutes was "influenced by Hawkwind?" and then later on I thought there were some parallels with Kraftwerk, so all in all I'd call that a recommendation!

I loved the transitions between one part and the next, with the new part almost imperceptible at first then taking over as the old disappeared.

Thanks Barry I am really pleased that you enjoyed.

If you like transitions, you may like this one as well. I choose this as my best effort of 2019.

Its called "Could your Darkest Nightmare really be your wildest dream" and it is a series of very different dreamscapes that melt into each other.

Would you believe that Warrior on the Edge was one of the first albums I ever bought - a very very long time ago.

I can see the similarity, but most of that is down to the generic Motorik beat, which is the trademark of Krautrock.

If you want to hear the definitive granddaddy of that sound - search YouTube for "Neu! - Hallo Gallo" and you will hear exactly what I mean.

Yep I found that out myself last night when I was trying to find the track I was reminded of. In Wikipedia it actually says it is from Krautrock and mentioned Neu I think.

It's the same with a lot of music, you find earlier and earlier influences. The chances are the Germans got it from somewhere as well.

I hear about these things now from people who have studied it, but at the time I was cruising around different parties and people would blast it out at full volume on a summer's evening. I always thought that music was what really crated the atmosphere. The alternative was effeminate boy bands and the like.

Actually come to think of it , it was the first album i ever bought. A school friend sold me that and Hall of the Mountain Grill for 50p each. They are the originals and worth a few bob now.

Yes very good. You know what that reminds me of. There's a Hawkwind album called Warrior on the Edge of Time and a track called Opa-Loka. It's kind of similar thing to the intro from about 1 minute.
