Isn't that different from Sky though? If you are getting football for nothing spill the beans Smurfy.
You don't get free football on motorised systems, people who have them usually use them for porn. First question I always got asked back in the 80's was which are the porn satellites.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Smurfy is right though, people cannot function or interact with agencies without a phone.

Cable tv like sky and 50" tv's is a diversion.
And how many chavs around Manchester do you see with a brick phone that can just call and receive txts? You know full well these people have me iPhones on 50 to 60 quid a month contracts. I know cause one of my girls is manager of an EE store.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I stand with Nick on this.

Given that I'm currently an expat, my view of what's happening in Britain is mainly formed through television. Most recently I was watching a show called "Benefits Britain" and when you see a lot of these people sporting brand new playstations and flat bed TVs with our taxes you can't help getting sick.

Getting rid of benefits was one of the main reasons I voted to leave. I say we should put Jacob Reese Mogg in charge and let him clean out the mob.

Cobblers, what is a flat bed tv btw?

If your view is mainly formed via tv you will be misinformed and out of touch.

As an expat you might have an opinion but don't have a say.

That was  VERY nasty cherry picked propaganda and came in for a lot of criticism for it. (The production company has "previous," for such disgraceful programs)

Expat against Brexit. Comical value. Has to be a parody. When is Spain deporting all these bloody foreigners back to that shitty rock of layabouts and claimants HB?

Sure, but that just means he doesn't have Sky, he has something that picks up radio signals and most likely illegal depending what stations he picks up.
ALL of the stations I watch are Free To Air. I have choice of about 4000 of them. I have zero interest on sport.

I've no quibble with people expecting fair pay. The problem is that since socialism has striven to impose a system under which everyone should be paid for life on a common scale irrespective of their ability or inclination to work, the availability of jobs for life has diminished drastically.
Whoooaaaaahhh there Posty. Don't turn united deep Tory blue on us given you are one of the more responsible Tory voices on here. Every single worker that does a full time job irrespective of skill should have a decent standard of living. If that doesn't happen then the system is either broken or rigged against the poor. One thing we have learnt about the pndemic is that those jobs we class as essential also seem to be the worse paid. Another thing people don't recognise is manual labor may require low intelligence but it does requires high physical attributes the skinny weak office sitters simply don't have. Good luck with bankers making a suitable abode to reside for example. So which measure should we attribute to pay when for society to function it requires everyone to contribute again?

Watching on Norwegian TV is one answer. Some London pubs used to screen matches that way. Not sure if "the authorities" have clamped down now...

They will have to subsidise given it is part of the terms of Privatisation Posty and they should have researched that before buying shares. The government will do what it always does anyway. Increase the price of a first class stamp. And one day, like with everything, letters will be obsolete and then the business will focus on its parcel business or whatever else comes thereafter the same way BT is no longer focused in Landlines telecommunications but the Internet and Mobile Phones. Nonetheless whatever way you look at it, the guys who are picketing are merely asking for fair pay and everyone should be doing the same. Jake Berry said we ALL should be going out their to get that better paid job and what better way to do that than go on strike?
The government has little say over the price of stamps and postage.

Same with phones.

It's technology, demand and business models that are the drivers.  Soon, landlines powered from the exchange will be a relic of a bygone age as VoIP becomes the de facto standard. And even transport, such as buses and trains, is likely to eventually need fewer skilled staff.

I've no quibble with people expecting fair pay. The problem is that since socialism has striven to impose a system under which everyone should be paid for life on a common scale irrespective of their ability or inclination to work, the availability of jobs for life has diminished drastically.

Working people across the board from the most senior managers to junior employees are often subject to fixed term contracts. And even then can be subject to performance and market forces. It's something that needs to be catered for, yes. But we all need to live with it...

PS — and Chancellors too. PM next? Fingers crossed...

After the initial purchase price my motorised satellite TV system costs nothing other than the electricity.

Who has Sky these days? Everyone seems to be moving onto non subscription services given they are a fraction of the cost.
