You need to start looking at import and export data before declaring Brexit hasn't worked out. EU trade is about the same as pre-Covid levels ergo pre-Brexit levels. And non-EU trade has vastly increased, even under the strain of what's occurring in the world.
Really? Gas exports have distorted things. But even then....try looking for yourself...

Braverman is doing her best to knock it on the head with the Indians saying relations had taken a step back and talks would be paralysed if certain individuals stayed in government following her comments on overstayers . (Indians top the table)

That he has given her the job back would indicate he at least isnt taking orders from Father in law  just yet .
No, not yet.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I'm hoping he's going to get a deal with India in no time at all now.

I can't even remember what grape variety the wine was — I was so surprised to find Canadian wine, and that it was so good.

But given the size of the country and its farm lands, I wasn't surprised by the quality or variety of the food.

Better trade deals with many Commonwealth countries (ANZ, Canada, Caribbean, India, etc) should benefit all concerned enough for the UK to get over the fact the Brexit's still not working out. It's to be hoped the other countries have forgotten the way they were dumped** when the UK chased after joining the EEC...

** though the UK did push for NZ farm products to get access to Europe...

You can get it from some specialist on line stores and thats about it . The French influence around Quebec has also seen some decent stuff produced there .The summers are hot enough to produce good wine they just have to protect the vines in the sub zero winters .  Maybe Richie Rich will expediate a trade deal ,it will be worth it just for  a good steak and a bottle of Malbec

It's called guilty by association,  Borky. I expect Cromwell will apologise for his sleight on the new PM. Cromwell of the innocent until proved guilty, and there's not even a trial due.
I should add whilst we are picking people up (though I guess you understood my original reference) that the word you are looking for is slight not sleight......I don't do magic. :P
Energy....secure and affordable, not that hard is it?

No he won't be doing that, why did he hold his green card for so long when he was an mp and don't be telling me that her non dom status didn't afford him an advantage.

That the Tory tripe that states why the US is so great compared to ours but isn't answered regarding paying your dues as the US requires.
I work with several people in London who are not US passport holders, though they have lived and worked in the US for American companies. They have worked in Europe for years, but kept heir Green Cards. Now they complain bitterly about their "Ten-Forties" and the tax they have to pay.

I guess it's all about keeping options open....

Bit like their wine — there must be a special microclimate not too far away from Vancouver because they produce very drinkable stuff, but it doesn't seem to be exported...

As far as I am aware Sunak does not owe any tax.

Still, you understand these matters better than I do Ollie, so please explain

Try this link — it's better than some posting their own interpretations.

Prices of other food can also be researched...

I have looked at a couple of links.

Firstly, I didn't find that the price of bananas in EU countries is 25 times more than the price in non EU countries.  It's true that it seems to be somewhat higher in some of the other EU countries, but certainly not 25 times higher , and there are some EU countries where it's lower than the UK.

I don't see much immediate evidence there that being an EU member is the major driver of banana prices in the shops - and most certainly not that it's causing orders of magnitude differences in price.

Most of the top sections of the list are non EU countries with Jamaica being #1 even though Jamaica is an ideal place to grow bananas.  I suspect there are a lot of other factors that affect the price much more than whether you are in the EU or not.

This is a typical example where some will try to get consumers to believe that bananas will cost tuppence a ton after we are out of the EU when the reality is that if they are cheaper at all, it will be marginal and other factors may cancel it out in the meantime.

Of course all that leaves aside the people don't only live on bananas so even if bananas were almost free, that's not much help if many other staples end up more expensive.

Does anyone on this forum live in an EU country and can give us the current price of bananas in an EU country supermarket?

The price of bananas in the UK has gone up a lot since Brexit and I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that it's higher than in the EU.

Don't know how the hell you can tell US beef is better, it's always covered in A1 steak sauce. Argentinian beef yes, US no.
