Ooooops! Plod on holiday so charges dropped

I sense a whiff of something unpleasant here

It would be interesting to know who the defendants were and who they were related in any way too.

We all know that Ext Reb are drawn largely from the Chattering classes and above.

That an arresting officer suddenly goes on holiday just at the time of the trial and the lack of consequences for the officer sounds somewhat contrived...



Maybe a lot of people in court that day wearing the same tie?

Isn't that contempt of court? My understanding of what happens in a court if someone screws the whole session up is the judge becomes furious and comes crashing down on them like a ton of bricks, even if they are on holiday. Nothing quite pisses a judge off like that.

Well, judges are never biased or corrupt, are they?  If it hadn't been the police away, the defendants might have been too busy spraying their hair green or whatever, so we can't complain.
