Perhaps you should get about more and experience what is happening in Britain.
Nick I do just that, and get more information than appears in the British press/media.

What annoys me is I have to resort to watching foreign new bulletins about Britain to find out what is going on. The foreign news outlets cover aspects of Britain none of the British media or press bother to mention.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I guess one problem is that this forum (and The Other Place) are dominated by Right Wing adherents to the Mail and Telegraph, who object to other posters airing other views. But, surely that's what debate is about, and what helps us reach credible opinions?

Having looked at GBNews, I can understand it must be comforting for those with similar views to have their opinions endorsed by an echo chamber. By the same token, I suspect they find it upsetting if alternative narratives are offered and their views challenged.

I disagree with some commentary on main TV and Radio in the UK, but mostly I find it informative.

LBC manages to switch viewpoints from amusing camp, through Mail/Telegraph Right, to bleeding heart socialist over the course of nine hours each weekday morning — something the mainstream commentators don't do. That is why I prefer and trust them...

Picking specific time slots to give a rosier picture is the normal ploy of ad-sales staff.

But a truer view is gained by looking at the viewing returns and extrapolations by those whose whole existence depends on the success of as many news outlets as possible:

https://pressgazette.co.uk/publishers/broadcast/gb-news-ratings-versus-talktv/

Much to the disappointment of many posters, the BBC still leads with viewing figures among the established broadcasters, and dwarfs the newcomers, which all appear to be well down on their opening audiences...
No ones saying that everyone else may as well pack up and go home but that some of the viewing figures for GB news are encouraging a year after start up gremlins .
The publicity of course helps , reminding people what the remote is for is never a bad ploy .

Well it has apparently , now getting more viewers than the BBC and Sky  for its evening programmes

I doubt you have ever watched it .
I watch it on a regular basis. Which is how I formed my opinion of it. The only one missing from it is David Icke.

I doubt you have ever watched it . Most of its presenters are from other channels who were fed up with having to tow the company line . GB news is more of a mixed bag with healthy debate and differing views

Too many lefty tossers over the other channels for me , a bit of common sense broadcasting is what is needed . Only far left would call it far right

Probably because it is far right wing with some VERY nasty and/or looney tune presenters and guests.

It's because the populace has been crying out for a common sense alternative to the BBC and Sky.
So refreshing to hear something that doesn't follow along the left liberal wishy washy group speak.

Of course it will. I think that I bet Tommy 20 quid that GB News would not last the weekend, which was a guarantee of its success.

If our Nigel could do something about the blond Aryan supermen (ie short arsed, semi literate and unemployed mini cab drivers) in the Reform party, I can see a few of my Indian and Pakistani friends voting for him
