Go on see if you can find the words in my post 105 that you suppose say the link said gay meant homosexual in the 14th century.

You said, some say gay was used for homosexual back to the 14th century.  That implies gay meaning homosexual.

Seriously, it's easier if you just say which bit.  Copy a quote here.  Unless it doesn't exist.
'The association with (male) homosexuality likely got a boost from the term gay cat, used as far back as 1893 in American English for "young hobo,"

I misrepresented it by screen shotting the sequence of your posts lol
If I ask a question and you give me an answer to to a totally different question that's my fault is it? I asked for proof of your statement that Gay meant homosexual in the 14th century, you provided a link to that post. Either prove it, admit you're wrong or accept that you're in the same league as Smurf when it comes to providing proof.

I await your whataboutery.
Look you're wrong, either you are lying your arse off about my post or you're just being stupid.

Go on see if you can find the words in my post 105 that you suppose say the link said gay meant homosexual in the 14th century.  Those with 2 honest brain cells to run together know I said it showed two things

- word goes back at least to 14th century
- use for homosexuality goes back at least 100 years

I was very clear, not my fault you chose to misrepresent it

So it meant young hobo.  Which part of young hobo means homosexual?  🤔

And that's to miss the point I made.

No you just can't fucking read post 105 and have instead imagined a false version of it.  Sorry but trying to hold me to your reimaginations of reality isn't something adults do.

Here's that post 105.  I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.  No claim by me that that link said gay meant homosexual in the 14th century.

So are you now going to argue that your link wasn't to back up your claim about the word being used in the 14th Century?
Then you accused me of not being able to read, but are now ducking and diving, attempting to say you never said it.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I read your link, and you doing a Smurf, telling people they can't read doesn't make you right. Nowhere does it say Gay meant homosexual in the 14th century.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Oh the irony from the poster that could never back his graphene boasts

Anyyway I heard it on the radio years ago that it was (as gai) a term used to describe the antics of the French princes that never married.

This certainly backs that age of the word and certainly that over 100 years use to describe homosexuality https://www.etymonline.com/search?q=gay&ref=searchbar_searchhint

Just quote the bit from pre-20th century where gay refers to homosexuality.  I couldn't find it.
