why anyone young would vote tory is frankly a mystery.
Wasn't that always the case though ? I think we all start off with the best of intentions and slightly socialist views . That sharing and caring  is better than keeping stuff for ourselves  after all its what our parents taught us . They basically did Labours recruitment department jobs for them .

But then we grow up ,have our own life experiances ,home ownership ,wealth creation and keeping that wealth for our families  . All the stuff that nudges us to right wing policies .

The age polarisation is quite stark though https://docs.cdn.yougov.com/ilyj0v7ubm/TheTimes_VI_230526_W.pdf

The huge irony of course is Hancock himself is one of the reasons so many of the under 50s cannot stomach the idea of voting for the party of Suella de Vil and self enrichment at taxpayers expense.
Couldn't open the link but would guess its something like The Age Profile Of Conservative Voting Intention - Data - Onward (ukonward.com)
Its obvious the tories have a problem .They have ignored the young people but maybe the reason is not their fault . That lies with Tony Bliar . His non education ,non education , non education government that still keeps kids at school till they are 18 and for some in further education until their mid 20's meant the starting point of 'growing up' has been pushed back . Young people are under the influence of the Guardinista teachers for much longer ,university (every child should get the opportunity to be indocrinated ) means they are basically lost forever to the ideology  of the left .

So Hancock is just stating the bloody obvious though he is wrong in saying the tories should become more liberal. To counter the fact that young people are staying in education for much longer the conservative party has to give school leavers a kick start in life and give them the chance to become wealthy conservatives rather than poor socialists

Yeah, that's why they won by a huge majority in 2019, cause they crapped on everyone. Can't wait for your beloved Labour to screw it up lol
Nick young people did not vote Tory in any numbers. Labour are not beloved by me. No political party is.

The way the tories have crapped on young people since May 2010 why anyone young would vote tory is frankly a mystery.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Its not hard to work out that the party that can work out the housing situation and provide affordable accomodations will be the one that the younger people will vote for .
They can get to grips with the other stuff young people worry about after but without a place to live theres not a lot of point to any of it
