200 companies named for not paying staff minimum wage

Top of the list WH Smiths . My eldest  worked for them while at Uni and to be fair corrected his pay  when some missing hours came to light . He didn't know anything about it until a cheque landed on the mat 3 years after he had left them .

Doesn't make it right and its been an ongoing problem for some of these companies paying minimum wage coupled with zero hour contracts . For me minimum wage should be a daily rate rather than an hourly one . The low paid should at least be given the comfort that their take home pay reflects how many days they have turned up for work .
