Any reshuffle should be carried out regardless of gender - those who are doing their job should stay, those who aren't should go. Same with moving up to more prominent posts, those who deserve to be promoted should be. Whether they are male or female is irrelevant.

This is exactly how I feel about it. Mr Johnson warned all ministers that if they don't get results they will be out, and the energy minister was tipped as the one who was what you might call the weakest link. Now instead of arguing in support of all the things she has achieved, she goes straight for the sexist card, saying there should be equal numbers of men and women in the cabinet, hence implying you can't possibly sack me until you have equal representation. Meanwhile our energy bills continue to climb and there is great concern the energy firms are stitching us up, not to mention heavy industrial users of energy going bust because they can't compete with international competition. It will be interesting to see which way things go.

Apparently that was what he planned to do, until the press got hold of the story, and now there are totally confusing messages, like 'big reshuffle'/'small reshuffle' &' Lots of women sacked'/ 'women to be the big winners'.

So place your bets.

Initially 5 were planned to go, so how many will?

Is he a man, or will he cave into Andrea Leadsom's attacks of sexism after she found out she was a favourite to go?
