It is too cold. And wet.
Demos are fine when the sun is shining and you have the chance to meet you mates for a bit of a craic, but who wants to spent a day in the cold and wet and end up piddling down his trouser leg because all the loos are shut ?
Rain, as every copper knows, is the best policeman
You beat me to it. Stopping oil isn't that important when it's pissing it down.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Doesn't sound like anyone's going on the stop oil march any time soon . Thinking of which where have they gone these past few weeks ?  :-X

The Earth has a tilt, it wobbles around that tilt, the Earth orbits the Sun whilst being influenced by the Moon. The Sun is travelling around our Galaxy, and our Galaxy is moving through the universe.

People expect the Earth to be in the same place in relation to the Sun every year?

Apart from that, climate models have been using incorrect data to predict the climate since they started. For a start, the models are programmed to store twice the energy in CO2 that they actually do. Of course when temperatures do significantly start to fall it will be 🥳 we did it and God bless Tiny Greta.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

That's a shame .
Of course the scientists say its down to warming in other parts of the world ,''Its a climate paradox, dummy''
That would be the scientists way of saying its down to natural climate cycles which of course it is .It will warm up again in a couple of years and it will be down to cows farting in Texas

Climate deniers have long suggested the effects of Pacific decal oscillation (PDO) have more influence on climate than carbon emissions

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/learn-about/weather/oceans/pacific-decadal-oscillation

Climate scientists have generally ignored that insisting the man made theory is fact ,but wait !

New studies have found natural weather cycles can effect temperatures at the bottom of the world .This 'newly' discovered phenomenon the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) which consists of (wait for it ) clouds and rainfall moving through the tropics effecting the weather thousands of miles away .

So the more it warms up in the tropics the colder it gets at the poles , PDO or MJO  ,el nino or la nina matters not but which will win the battle for middle earth ,are we to fry or freeze ?

But more importantly , will it rain today ?

According to Madden-Julian, sometimes it is hot and sometimes it is cold, which is something most folk called the weather, but oscillation sounds funkier.

As to the important bit, of course it will rain. Not a rip roaring tempest that anyone can sit back and enjoy, but a miserable drizzle that will still burn out my electric mower. It is a pity Toots isn't still around. She could have a word with her mate in the white nightie and tell him to stop buggering around.
