Come oan borkie. Deppity has a point. He isnae talking about wee essex girl and her false eyelashes on love island.

You ever been to geordie land? When deppity says 40% of domestic abuse victims in geordie land are attacks on men , he isnae joking.

Remember about ten years ago the raoul moat case doon in geordie country?

During the time raoul moat was on the run  , the polis were desperately searching northumbria for anyone built like a brick shithouse , flat nose , nae teeth and covered in tatoos.

After 7 days  they released a statement saying they were deciding to concentrate on men only.

Carried over from another thread.

I couldn't have picked her out in a crowd either. I don't watch love island.

This is all I know about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Island_%282015_TV_series%29">//https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Island_(2015_TV_series) Yeuch!

It will be interesting to see if the viewing figures continue to rise. Nearly 6 million people are glued to this tripe?

Anyway, the blame game over her death seems to be in full swing.

It's bullies on Twitter. It's the Sun. It's the CPS continuing a prosecution against the wishes of her boyfriend.

This is what happens when people kill themselves. They leave behind a lot of guilt and blame. It's horrible.

There's me thinking that if she had followed the bible she would still be alive, probably never done half the things she did and would be happy too. But when one mixes with evil, some of that evil can infect the person's soul. If that person is strong they will be OK, but if they just go with the flow and develop a sense of pride they can become blinded to what they are doing. Being on TV is a great responsibility because what you do affects millions of minds. Those who use that it in the right way become blessed, but use it the wrong way and it will come down on you like a ton of brick. she has been judged, but not by any magistrate.

I find it hard to believe that had the subject of this tragedy been a man with a history of assaulting their partners, that we"d have such a public outpouring of grief. A recent study claimed that as many as 40% of domestic abuse victims are male. It's seems society either doesn't believe this, or isn't ready to accept that any kind of assault by a partner, male or female, is unacceptable. Male abusers are routinely taken to court to face charges in these cases, yet now we have a predictable "backlash" against Caroline Flack having to face the same justice a male abuser would face.

Once again, "equality" only means what women want it to mean. Sick of this shite.

TBH mate the issue to me at least isn't any of that but whether it be man or woman being prejudged by the msm and tossers on social mejia

Dunno. I don't want to appear sexist ( even though I am), but I don't think that a man should make a fuss just because a lass shies a glass ashtray at them. To be honest, I am sorry that it missed. It took ages to repair the wall. But there seems to be a massive whimpification of men these days.

Bit off topic but the other day I was on the bus and a bloke was telling his mate that his girlfriend was telling her friend how insensitive he was and that he was a total waste of space. And I thought for Christ's sake. Grow a pair. Men don't listen to women. I mean they are a great idea but women don't want have a debate with men. It would be pointless anyway. They can out talk us any time. What they really want to do is keep us off balance.

Bright Young Thing

No matter who she was, what she was or how famous or not she was, a young woman yesterday felt she had no other option but to end her life. Some say it's the cowards way out, some say it takes the utmost of courage to do it, but she is now dead. We will probably never know the exact circumstances or reasons but we should take a moment to remember her, along with (I'm sure) the others who also ended their lives yesterday, and ever other day. Those who felt worthless, unloved and unwanted, and felt no longer able to exist any longer.

There will be a witch-hunt, it will be someone's fault - the Press, the trolls, the Police, the ex, whoever. No matter. Recriminations and accusations cannot bring anyone back. I wish I had, I wish I hadn't means nothing.

There's a saying going around social media just now - in a world where you can be anything, be kind. So very true. No one knows what's going on in anyone else's life. We need to stock knocking people down and stop being negative.

Be kind.

I rarely find pleasure in someone's demise. There was a notable exception a short while ago but I shall not pursue that point further here

But i REALLY AM having a problem finding much in the way for sympathy for this woman.

She collects a n undisclosed salary that must by mathematics be between three and twenty times my own, plus a lottery win in "product placement" for being nothing more than a pair of tits fronting a show of dubious morality which while i have not seen a single moment of it in real, and do not regret that, seems from the endless torrent of shite that fills my browser ad choices operations, to be little more than public broadcasting of miscellaneous shenaligans intended to encourage two or more individuals to get their kit off and shag like rabbits.

It seems to me to have all the attraction of that strange dating show where the first you - and the entire broadcast audience - see of the person seeking a date with you is their genitalia while you and your hostess are encouraged to criticise the equipment on show and then pick a set of it to go and test drive, the intellect and personality that comes with said set of genitalia being very much a second placed reason for said test drive.

So she's suddenly deprived of all that loot by virtue of an accusation of assault that had led to police intervention and chose to top herself rather than have her day in court.

I'm having trouble understanding why she deserves my tears ...

Well not asking for yours or anyone's tears, though what this illustrates is that no amount of money can always bring happiness.

There is that and no matter how  rich or poor someone is or how mixed up their life, their own identity or gender no one should be driven to their demise by people often not in a position to judge anyone.

Actually all this puts me in mind of some woman a few years back (can't remember the whole case) who pursued someone remorselessly on social media hiding their identity, they were eventually unmasked and in turn subjected to the same sort of treatment but within days topped themselves over it.

The interwebby is great and things like forums and for finding info but social media is IMO a blight on the whole web.
