My Suggestion To Solve Lockdown

Give me any figures you have, or any single case of an under 60 healthy person being critically ill from it.

Currently about 25% of those hospitalised are not surviving. That won't change unless the hospitals become overwhelmed. We don't know the real infection rate across the country until a antibody test is available. We are working in the dark and need more information to make sensible decisions. :shrg:

A lot of people in all age groups are becoming seriously ill and many need intensive care. There is a need to reduce the amount of suffering and pressure on the NHS.

The problem is that there is actually no treatment available that guarantees a cure. The most they can offer is oxygen in the hope to buy time for the body to heal itself. Even if we managed to have enough ventilators for everyone there is still no guarantee that would work. Add to that that virus seems to affect people is so many different ways. We are working blind.  It's a nightmare for the medical profession.

Given that Covid-19 almost entirely affects people with quite serious conditions and the elderly, wouldn't it be better to say: only they must self-isolate, and everyone else - back to work.  The government could then ensure the isolated are cared for with food deliveries, etc (assuming there are no volunteers or family to do it)

It is denial.



The PPE seems to be mostly disappearing between being loaded on trucks and the destinations.

I have to wonder why one of the biggest hangars on the Royal Navy Air Station up the road from me has been (Allegedly) emptied and cleared.

Well, we can all speculate.  Maybe the drivers are stealing some.

You can call it denial, in the same way that I would deny there are fairies in my garden.  Usually, I go by the facts.  You haven't provided anything to contradict my position.

You're got to learn how propaganda works.  The doc says he THINKS all the patients in intensive care are under 60 (not 50), and he didn't actually say why they are ill.

Just been a doctor on Channel 4 News, (I missed which hospital,) He stated all those in intensive care currently are under 50 years old.
