What a dishonest post.

Stopped reading after this, dig deeper -

There were only "several tens of thousands" left in the NHS's reserve stockpile, sources said on Friday. "Gowns have in effect already run out," one said. "The situation is so serious that some trusts will run out today and others over the weekend."

They have used the remaining stock of coveralls as alternatives to gowns and have been deploying their gown stock very carefully.

Here's an actual video of one being worn and a testimony by a doctor. And it's the Telegraph so a right wing source;

So you are calling medical professionals liars?

Loses argument again. Switches to emotives instead.

Get the facts right

1) The article does not say "they ran out". It says "came within hours" of running out. Suitably imprecise and demonstrates the Guardian employing Daily Mail type tactics

2) You claimed in another thread NHS staff who have died of the virus were "mostly specialists from ICUs" and you were shown to be categorically wrong.

And here you are bandying around the word liar when you have been found out bullsh*tting on this forum so many times

That article does not say they ran out, you know why, because nowhere were staff at any time working unprotected.

They never ran out.

As for Papasmurf, he can't prove they ran out either, because they never quite did.

It was an amazing effort by procurement departments, volunteers making PPE, British Army doing supplies, and all manner of innovative solutions which kept them going. An absolute heroic effort in the face of Worldwide shortages. They have yet to run out.

Did you read the first paragraph. Besides it's sensationalation or in spirit of this thread "hype". If we actually had of run out you would have known about it as it would have been headline news. Plus that isn't now, although PPE has only been mentioned to try and divert the actual topic.

No, you're right. I looked up "irritating ****" and that was much more accurate.

PPE Whistleblowers

PPE whistleblowers in England should not be 'gagged', the Department for Health and Social Care has confirmed.

Concerns were raised after the BBC's Newsnight programme heard from some doctors who'd been told by managers to stop speaking publicly about shortages of personal protective equipment. One was told to "stop causing a fuss".

Doctors' Association UK has also released results of its latest member survey which found:

46.9% of respondents had been told not to raise concerns about COVID-19 or PPE via social media

47.6% of respondents had been told not to speak to the press about COVID-19 or PPE

15.2% of respondents who had offered opinions on social media had been challenged or disciplined

32% of respondents had experienced bullying around the issues of raising concerns about PPE

Chief Executive of whistleblowing charity Protect, Liz Gardiner, said in a news release: "We have had many calls to Protect's advice line from NHS workers with concerns over PPE and some NHS staff have told us they do not feel safe

I think it's for the mods to decide who is trolling. Trolling is an accusation you often come up with when someone strongly opposes your views.

You've even accused me of trolling. Don't be ridiculous.

Thanks Barry. Shame there isn't a like function. You'd have one.

I don't want to seem like I'm attacking anyone, including those I debate. But to be frank I wasn't even discussing PPE originally so I have no idea why we even got there. But even Papasmuffs whistle blower talks of shortages and not running out basically disproving his own claim.
