Wiggles

They can sing God Save The Queen as much as they want, I don't want to support them. Like I said, give Northern Ireland back to Eire.

Your right, they do appear to be my sort of people, however, unfortunately there isn't any work for them.

Thats all right wiggy , theres no work for them in northern ireland either , so they will be right at hame.

Where do you think the £10 billion subsidy to northern ireland goes to?

The protestant enclaves of east belfast and the north east of the six counties are among the poorest areas in the island of ireland  , essentially you are supporting their dole money so they can parade once a year singing god save the queen and remembering some dutch guy from 300 odd years ago who persecuted them after the battle of the boyne.

I remember an old story in the daily record or some such unionist rag many years ago , where the glaswegian gangsters were gun running to the uvf etc during the height of the troubles , and one guy complained the uvf couldnt pay for the guns til they got their giros.

Lincolnshire sounds perfect.

Northern irelands future is a matter of the people of northern ireland.

As for immigration to scotland you dont get to tell us who we can or cannot take. ;)

Why dont you take them in lincolnshire? They would be right at home in the sticks of eastern england , webbed feet , backward conservative christian types , you say you dont have many foreigners  , and the only price you have to pay is accepting a few orange walks marching through boston on the 12th where you can all shout god save the queen while hanging out the union jack bunting and reminiscing of the good old days of the empire?

You might get a few notes through your door beforehand with the cryptic warning of all good protestants will be out for the 12th ( or else) but dont worry  , its essentially harmless as long as you comply.

Whats not to like? :hattip

Wales is a different matter. My head office used to in Cardiff, and I had many a good night there. As it happens the women are quite liberal in their thinking. I would give them five years to get their house in order, and if they don't shape up, sell Wales to Donald Trump.

Your absolutely right, and that's why I think Eire should have it back. The 50% of Northern Irish people who don't want to be part of Eire, can live in Scotland. That way Scotland gets loads of people (which Sturgeon appears to want), Eire gets the land back they crave for, and England don't have to subsidise Northern Irelnd. There you go, VOTE WIGGLES

If only life was so simplistic. We would offer to pay removal lorry costs, I assume?

I was told today (and I don't know if it is true) Northern Ireland cost the UK more than our contributions to the EU. perhaps they should have their independence as well, that's presuming Eire don't want to take them on ?

Aye i heard that a while back . From memory its something like £10 billion the 6 counties cost the uk taxpayer compared to £9 billion  that eu membership costs.https://fullfact.org/europe/our-eu-membership-fee-55-million/">https://fullfact.org/europe/our-eu-memb ... 5-million/">https://fullfact.org/europe/our-eu-membership-fee-55-million/

I think the point is northern ireland just isnt a stand alone unit like scotland or england , we are both countries , northern ireland is a bit of a country that should never have been carved out in the first place.

i think this graphic just about sums its up.......

Which country?

We agree your country is struggling to cope with its population in certain areas , and your government is to blame past and present , but my countries underpopulation is also down to your government past and present.

Thats why your government in your country should have no say in immigration to my country.

I know mate i know lincolnshire fairly well. We caravan  , and travel all over the place in our spare time , and my wife is from the south east of england just down the road from you.

From memory its a tiny wee place less than half the size of my own native strathclyde , with less than half the population. A few fishing villages and farms.

 :-?

Are you taking the piss ?

Earlier on you were telling me lincolnshire is inundated by the hordes of transylvania , moldavia , and bulgaria , with every village in the carpathians emptied into statics on lincolnshire farmland , now you tell us there are actually very few foreigners?

What happened then wriggle about all this mass immigration from eastern europe you were on about  , and all the albanians eating your swans?

What did you once happen to see a romanian girl on the till at aldi in boston or something?

Well no it doesnt mate. You dont read too well do you wiggle?

With 8.9 % of the population , scotland gives england 9.6 % taxes , and england gives scotland back 9.3 % to spend , a net subsidy to england.

No one likes the barnett formula , the argument isnt about getting rid of , but what to replace it with . Westminster need scotlands hard earned cash , so dont want the scottish government collecting scottish taxes. Instead they have to be sent down south  , and then a bit of pocket money sent back.

its funny even old hammond , the former chancellor recently hinted about scotland subsidising the uk ....

What a strange comment for philip to make .

We havent dug up any oil using anyones taxes wiggle.

I think you will find its companies like shell  , headquartered in the netherlands , or bp headquartered in london for example who operate there.

   Oh no is there none left wiggle ?

Never heard that one before.....

Thanks John, that's helped to refresh my memory. I don't think you get these stories on the BBC's "looking back" reports.
