I agree Nick the Japanese were great hosts, yes we peaked too early the All Blacks did not know what hit them, we did not even turn up for the final with SA  very disappointed in them but its over and done with.

Six Nations next stop the one problem is will some of the Saracens players put their club before Country due to them being fined and points deducted that leave -22 at the bottom of the league, if they want to claw their way back up it will be all hands on deck

Leicester Lip' Austin Healey said he would love nothing better than seeing Wales and England put one over the southern hemisphere superpowers and reach the World Cup final- now we know who to blame eh?

SA were the bookies favourite for the game against Wales , despite four losses in a row to Wales in the last three years and 5 losses to 1 win since 2014 - that was some crystal ball, but they were right, Wales we're lacklustre and didn't seem to have their hearts in it, but nevertheless they only lost to the eventual World Champions by some 3 points, and only in the last few minutes!

England looked as though they had played their 'final' against the All Blacks, and like Wales ,they were lacklustre against SA. In the final proper - shame , it would have been nice to see the Cup back in the North!

Third place playoff was a 'game too far' , and maybe should be shelved for next time?

Japan hosted a superb tournament and their team played exceptionally well for most of the competition, and deserve recognition by entry into either the Rugby Championship, or a new 7 Nations competition, which I believe is being considered by the Powers that be?

I seem to remember England giving the All Blacks a good pasting. So he good part of his wish.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I agree I have spoken to some fans who went to Japan loved it made very welcome and very safe, unlike some places especially SA

So have I! went two years ago when France absolutely 'mullered' us. The friend who got the tickets for the four of us has a home near Soissons and applied from his French address. As a result we were right in the middle of the French supporters. What a fantastic crowd! we shared hip flasks (as you will know the French do not allow the sale of alcohol in the ground) and commiserations and they seemed genuinely sorry for us in our grief!!! :D We beat them at Twickenham this year but the real 'revenge' comes at the Stade de France in 2020. :hattip

I hope so if the boys don't loose their bottle again

My team Saracens has been fined over £5 million for breaching players wages rules, plus points taken off them demoting us to the bottom of the table.

I am not a happy bunny :(  , but we will fight back and claw our way back to the top

Scotland have been found guilty of gross misconduct by World Rugby. They have been fined £70,000 and ordered to write an apology letter to the organisers of the 2019 RWC.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I was away for the weekend however the Hotel we were staying in put the match on for the guests who were interested in it , even opened the bar I was disappointed in Englands poor performance.

A far cry from the week earlier no fire in them very nervous many mistakes and lack of discipline gave away too many penalties, SA did their job well and deserved to take the trophy.

Now looking forward to the next six nations tournament, after that the next world cup and of course watching Saracens when I can.

Well Im not a huge Rugby follower in fact its pretty much restricted to the Finals and the odd 5 nations match if its on in the pub  .  What I will remember from this one is the speed of Japans handling , for some reason Wales knocking out the French and the superb England performance against NZ.

Speaking of the French I feared the worst for England  when I saw one had been appointed as referee for the final .  Not that in the end the Boks needed any help mind .

A few dubious decisions but nothing that altered the score.

We would be empty handed if it wasn't for a silver medal. Can we have a peek at Scotland's medal?

No, cause you haven't got one.
