Jews Only. Not Arabs. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jan/03/palestinians-excluded-from-israeli-covid-vaccine-rollout-as-jabs-go-to-settlers
The BBC have admitted they were wrong about their reporting in relation to Palestine vaccinations.
https://www.thejc.com/news/uk/bbc-admits-it-was-wrong-to-suggest-israel-had-responsibility-to-vaccinate-palestinians-1.511873
The Guardian were also wrong, but I don't know if they have published any retraction.

Retractions are always very small compared to the original false news.

Yes, I've been there, too, and can vouch for that.

You know that devolved administration you live in, Wales. Well, the Palestinians have their own devolved health administration. Well funded by the EU and others who like to donate.
Arabs living in Israel, and there are plenty of them, will be vaccinated in the same process as everyone else.

That's the thing, it's not the Israeli people that have a problem with Palestine and likewise the other way round,
it's purely at state level. As you walk up through Jerusalem and look back you can see the Mount of Olives, the City of David and a huge mosque on Temple Mount. The people coexist just fine.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Israel have now vaccinated more than 1 million people, 1 in 8 of their population of over 9 million. They are now on hold pending arrival of more vaccines. They have held over enough in storage to do the second doses 3 weeks after the first. (They are doing the job according to the manufacturers instructions, you see)
To achieve this they set up 24 hour vaccination centres and called in the most vulnerable first. People trying to jump the queue were sent away.

Why can't we do 24 hour centres with staff working night shifts? I am sure many people who are keen to be vaccinated won't mind being done at 03:00 hours.

<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

Well trying to be fair to Boris this is a most extraordinary situation we find ourselves in,almost a wartime situation without the shooting.

Amongst all the doom and gloom and measures that make life difficult there are obviously attempts to bring good news and cheer, this is what I believe has happened without the reality of delivering it.
Energy....secure and affordable, not that hard is it?

So you don't believe anyone, then. OK.
Because I don't believe UK figures.

I know where you're going and I don't believe our figures either, they are likely to be 2 to 3 times higher than actual COVID deaths.

But the others mentioned are known for just making figures up, not a flawed count.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Lack of staff and do you seriously want elderly people going out in the dark and cold to get to a vaccination centre.

I reckon anybody who can't be arsed to put a coat on isn't worth the bother of vaccinating. In about ten minutes I will be going out to the supermarket to pick up some coffee. It is dark but the street lamps should ward off the vampires.

But they could be given the opportunity and let those who'd genuinely suffer with nighttime appointments off the hook.

By the way,  just learned that a 79 year old uncle of mine in Dartford has his appointment for vaccine this coming weekend...!!!

Do we really believe a word that the likes of Russia, Iran, Israel and the like say? Cause I don't. I would also include the likes of France, Italy and Spain in there also, they couldn't lie straight in bed.

I have just received a text from my GP telling me that they are manning the Covid vaccine every Friday so there will be fewer appointments available. So instead of increasing the work force even on a volunteer basis or using the local pharmacists, dentists, and the retired medics they take appointments away from those who are suffering from other diseases other than Covid. Since it already can take three weeks to get an appointment with a GP ........I rest my case.

Obviously the use of volunteers in hospitals is more complicated , but what you have there reflects on the fact that hospitals are already having to put other complaints to one side so as to deal with COVID patients.
I expect we will muddle through , not much more. Pessimistic I know but  surely it should not take doctors to give you a jab on a Friday.

There is a minister for Vaccination and his job must be to oversee this whole process.
In any complex system there are bound to be bottlenecks, you have complex production with a need to maintain quality, you have distribution, storage and the administering and these are just the section headlines, with plenty of details and levels below this.
I suspect the biggest problem of all is Turf Wars between big departments of state, this is the key problem for any Minister with oversight, which is why he need to be a big hitter.
I have never heard of the guy given the job before and no idea if he a reputation for getting things done.
