if folk dont understand the rules.......it normally means you have too many of them in the first place.

British citizens appear incapable of understanding the more simple the rules here.

Apologies — so wrong there. Boris is displaying definite indecision...

Agreed. He acts the angry young man. Does he think he can replace Starmer's mess of a performance?
Why would you prefer performance over rational appraisal? Johnson's real-life spitting image act is not really galvanising action or generally instilling confidence — in fact it's in danger of inciting open rebellion.
Starmer is promoting the idea of a shorter, sharper full on lockdown to cut the infection rate.
If we're supposed to be judging by acting ability, I prefer Starmer's more sober approach to that of a waffling clown, who is perceived as floundering over both Brexit and Covid.
Macron too, but with impetus of an election in the offing...

Burnham is a failed MP only interested in self promotion and getting up the nose of many people in Gtr Manchester
Who wanted neither him nor a mayor.

In the last Paris lockdown, people who went out had to write down on a form what time they left and their intended destination and, if stopped by a police officer, had to present that piece of paper.
British citizens appear incapable of understanding the more simple the rules here.
Mind you Labour doesn't help — Sir Kier wants a two week total lockdown, while Burnham (who appears to want Starmer's job by pursuing the Boris route) is briefing to keep Manchester out of pandemic restrictions, or in them, depending on the day...

Coronavirus: French police raid ministers' homes in pandemic inquiry
Published32 minutes ago

French police have raided the homes of senior government and health officials as part of an investigation into their handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Health Minister Olivier Véran and the director of the national health agency, Jérôme Salomon, are among those whose properties were searched on Thursday.

The raids came after a court launched an inquiry earlier this year into the government's handling of the pandemic.

It has faced criticism over shortages of equipment and slow response times.

Prime Minister Jean Castex is also under investigation, French media report, as is his predecessor Edouard Philippe and Mr Véran's predecessor Agnès Buzyn.
