Is that all?
Yep.

Jeff Bezo, Amazon's founder, is a funny bloke. The company continues to grow its revenues, but not much in the way of profit. In fact it has only been in profit for the last 6 years, only makes 7% profit on its turnover and has never paid a dividend.

That is just their CT based on profits. They are currently looking at having an FC or DC every thirty miles, that costs money so yes, they paid their whack.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Amazon's TV adverts with the "happy staff," looks like it was the work of Joseph Goebbels.
(Does Amazon pay any tax.)

Yes, around 15 million.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

A large proportion of my work is with Amazon, this bad treatment myth doing the rounds is not true. Even the undercover filming was creatively edited also.

I tend to avoid Amazon for various reasons one of which has been their reported treatment of employees. Now I have just seen an advert on TV showing how they plan to become carbon neutral by 2040 (I think). They boast electric vehicle orders, green projects etc are shown. Now naturally that made me wonder if I should change my mind in view of their apparent change, but then it occurred to me that it would make for great tax losses.

Perhaps I'm growing cynical with all my isolation but has the giant changed it's spots?
Amazon is boosting its workforce in the UK and is competing with the supermarkets, DIY chains and delivery companies for employees. It reports it plans to create a further 7,000 UK jobs this year to meet growing demand.
Amazon said it had already added 3,000 roles so far in 2020, and so by the end of the year it will have created a total of 10,000 new jobs.
This will take its total permanent UK workforce to more than 40,000.
Amazon says the new jobs will be permanent and pay a minimum of £9.50 an hour (London to £10.50). It is also recruiting 20,000 seasonal posts for the festive period.

But like all companies with success stories, Amazon has its critics — perhaps because of anti Bezos feelings — it's been accused of  a smoke and mirrors approach to pay rises, and criticised for Health and Safety:

I've never worked for Amazon, but I've been round one of its centres, and it seems on a par with supermarket distribution and the LHR international mail sorting and dispatching centres I've visited.

We buy online. Some specialist goods, that are difficult to find elsewhere, originate in PRC. But I see no problem with its products. In fact we've specifically selected some Chinese-made white goods because of price, design and quality...
On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Look at the country of origin of almost all the tech stuff... China.

I had a heat gun delivered today multiple heat settings, loads of accessories, you can do everything from use it as hair drier, to soldering, (I even used it to light the coal fire earlier.)
£21 postage free from China.
