Sheepy

Bojo has his moments, like saying a compromise over the EU's fishing rights was fine, which what the Liberal elite media don't tell you as they make out the fishermen have been thrown to the wolves, is that UK ports and their ability to land large catches has been decimated and by buying 5 years it gives the time to get them up and running for larger catches, which if you look for it, you might find a 100 million fund for Scottish fishing ports, that they are so scared the SNP might block on behalf of the EU they will try and bypass the SNP having a chance of voting on it.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

Damn it Deppity, I thought that you were a military man. Faced with the Kung Flu Boris fought it with a tsunami of cash with the result that most folk are less bothered by catching cold and more concerned over closed pubs and being generally bored arseless. And as Napoleon always asked of his generals, Bojo was lucky, because despite his tendency to piss away the public revenues like the proverbial drunken sailor, the bill came to a lot less than expected. I did a sum once which is probably bollocks, but suggests that the National Debt will be unlikely to rise by more that 0.25% and that means that to servicing it will not be much more than putting a penny on the cost of a pint of beer. That is unfortunate, but chancellors always put a penny on the price of a pint of beer.

Economy wise I reckon Boris has lucked out again and us with him.

As everyone knows, the correct way to deal with a crises is to go to the nearest pub and get sh*t faced, but this government have not only fecked the economy, they've shut all the pubs too. [expletive deleted]

Lets see how they all feel when the bill is annouced in the next budget - I would absolutely bet that the elitist middle classes who've been among the most vocal supporters of "lockdowns" will be the first to start whinging when they see how much it is going to cost them. And it will be them, because the working class have got feck all left to give, and the Tories will make sure there are enough escape routes for the wealthy.

I think it boiled down to Boris Johnson being a better boolsheeter than any of his cronies. To some extent covid-19 brought him to his senses and I do think he's tried to do what's best on that, but without always getting it right.

I sense that the biggest difference between Boris Johnson and Donald Trump is that Johnson wants to be liked, even he makes it difficult for that to happen sometimes, while Trump doesn't care whether anyone likes him or not as long as he wins.

I dont think that too bad a description from you quackers , but i tell you what , you and many others always seem to underestimate the man as some fat boolshitting chancer when in fact from what i can see he often takes a gamble , goes for the jugular in political terms and outmanouvers political opponents time and again.

He has just made a fool of starmer and labour over the brexit deal .

Understimate the man at your peril.

There is a reason why the tories are an election winning machine , they tend to put in place someone  who knows the score while labour elect clowns like starmer and corbyn and the liberals vote in light weight clowns like swinson.

The tory record speaks for itself , they are ruthless in power  , and ruthless getting into power.

You missed out shafting the economy and getting the country into more debt than Hitler?

Nothing to do with the fact that Labour had taken us up to the top of the hill and pushed us off? All you see is the result then, not the cause?
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Quote from: Barry on December 27, 2020, 12:18:05 PMBoris Johnson - won London in 2008.
- won London again in 2012.
2016 - Won the vote to leave referendum.
2019 - Elected party leader after Theresa May was forced out over Brexit.
2019 - won the general election with an 80 seat majority on a "Get Brexit done" ticket.
2020 - Got Brexit done with a much better than expected deal.

OK, he appeared to have been economic with the truth to prorogue Parliament, but the remainers almost broke the system and it needed some radical behaviour!

Not a bad record, overall. If I was him, I'd quit whilst ahead.

You can't deny that it is a continuous record of success. Except when Gove crapped on him in the previous leadership election.
