Wiped and Reloaded pol-tics on Firefox where all now seems OK. 
On Safari it looks like I've got issues with IPv6 address — though why that affects Safari and not Firefox I don't understand. 
Strangely, DNS server appears to have IPv6 internet access.  I've just reverted back to Virgin (seems to be Comcast) from EE (which seemed to be BT), that might be the issue. So I guess I'll stick with Firefox...

I use IOS and Firefox without issues so am fairly sure forum is ok.

^^^Safari is not a problem as Firefox is my and Work's preferred browser.But when logging in I still get:
"Your session timed out while posting.  Please go back and try again.  Back"
Again not really a problem as I've learned to double click...

Sessions were set to timeout after 48 minutes, I've upped it to an hour. After that the session will time out.

Make sure you are using the "[highlight]https[/highlight]://pol-tics.com" site. If you don't have the S it will say not secure.

You're not hidden, in fact nobody can hide as the option is not available. You also have a green square next to your name.
The hidden status is Google indexing the site.

He is hidden. His name in italics indicates that.

Yep sorry, didn't clock the italics. Have rest the DB's now so all should be good.

Thought I'd try Safari, but get:

Safari Can't Open the Page 
Safari can't open the page "https://pol-tics.com" because Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server "https://pol-tics.com". 

I'm currently using Firefox on iPad and iMac...

Thats good news then nick , the only thing is the incognito mode not being available might put off the shrinking violets out there from posting.
