The evolution of the left cartoon is funny. It set me thinking what a similar cartoon of the evolution of the right might look like. Maybe . . .

1917 . . . Country Squire in tweeds with a handlebar moustache
1936 . . . Fascist 'Blackshirt' doing their salute.
1968 . . . Slick City Tycoon in pinstripe suit.
2021 . . . Foul-mouthed overweight middle-aged skinhead.

Whoever said too many white men were putting their hands up hadn't thought things through. Some of those white men might be Scottish, Welsh or gay. What they should have said is 'too many straight, white English men are putting their hands up. Dancing

If difficult to understate what an idiot you are Quack Quack.

I doubt that most of the Labour front bench could point out planet earth if they were standing on it, which few appear to be.

A bit more of this and we are definitely looking at a Christmas election.

Gets better borkie. I see some shadow employment minister has resigned....

Labour in conference chaos as shadow minister quits saying 'party is more divided than ever'

He accused Starmer on not honouring pledges to the membership

Sir Keir Starmer's Labour conference was rocked by the resignation of a shadow cabinet minister, who accused him of further dividing the party and abandoning his pledges.

Andy McDonald quit as shadow employment rights secretary on Monday, accusing the Labour leader of not honouring "our commitment to socialist policies".

The MP, who also served under Sir Keir's predecessor, Jeremy Corbyn, said the leader's office had instructed him to argue against a national minimum wage of £15 per hour and against statutory sick pay at the living wage.

"This is something I could not do," Mr McDonald wrote.

If they were wrong then Angela Rayner would have been on the BBC by now, screaming of Tory racism or some such

I love the new labour types like burnham and starmer.

The delusion is especially strong with them.

Labour will never ever get scotland back , and the only chance they have of ever becoming relevant is by supporting scot indy , which as we know they cannot and will not do.

I doubt burnham could point glasogw out on the map :D

patman post

I've noticed that speakers and interviewees at Labour's conference seem to have dropped Working Class in their descriptions of those they seek to represent. The term of choice now seems to be Working People. I guess this must have been orchestrated with the aim to make Labour appear more attractive and inclusive.  Not a bad move, if that's what's happened,  but there's plenty more it needs to do...

Well Starmer really wants back to the good old days and only MP's decide what's good for the plebs, meanwhile waiting in the wings is clone no2 Burnham,I thinkit was him Thomas said yesterday we need to start talking to Scotland bit late for that I'd have thought.

Anyway Burnham wants to be leader and PM,great he'll turn smart motorways in to bike lanes.

No shit sherlock. Three cheers though for the daft arses in labour.

QuoteSome of those white men might be Scottish, Welsh or gay.

Doubt it. Labours scottish branch manager only yesterday admitted scottish labour are "barely functioning" with practically little to no support.

I would imagine the concert hall was full of upstanding pillars of the southern middle english liberal community like yourself quackers ,...... socks and sandals on punching the air with their fists at being serial losers.

QuoteWhat they should have said is 'too many straight, white English men are putting their hands up.

Good point.

Pissing off the rest of their fellow english is the sort of daft thing you liberals would do isnt it quackers.?
